Mine has been flaky for a few weeks since the last Rivian update, or when the big Android 15 update came out. I'll be in my truck and it will keep asking for a key until I open the app and trigger a door lock/unlock or other command.
Yes. I buckled the passenger side seatbelt this past weekend and left my laptop downloading a file for about an hour this past weekend. I also had a backpack on the passenger seat, so not sure if the weight sensor was triggered as well.
I really don't mind paying for the Connect+ subscription...
No, it doesn't, unless a seatbelt is buckled. But that's been iffy for testing, and keeps the truck fully on which isn't ideal in an off-grid situation.
Being an IT pro, I hadn't even though of a wifi-eth adaptor. Duh. I can probably make one out of these countless Raspberry Pi 3's I have...
I wish the hotspot would stay on and/or transmit stronger outside of the truck. If I'm working remotely -remotely- from my camper, I can't get signal inside of it from the truck, and it shuts off unless I do the seat belt trick.
Mine didn't have much for noticeable ride quality improvement (I was happy with it previously), but now there is noticeable audible clunks on acceleration/deceleration and some bumps that weren't there before. I've already done a full reboot of the truck as I always do post-upgrades, but perhaps...
I charged there last night (my first RAN charge ever) with my 19' toy hauler. You'll need to pull around through some pretty tight curbing to get to the back of the chargers, then get REAL close to the curbing behind them to get your charging port close enough.
It worked, but man, c'mon guys...
I bought new aftermarket tires/wheels/tpms through TireRack and it was a non-issue. If I were you, I'd do a full restart of the truck AND infotainment system, then try driving on them again for a day or two.
Yes, had tire rack install the TPMS and do the mounting/balancing. They arrived (in ONE day btw), mounted easily, aired them up, and drove off. Smooth as glass on the highway.
Also ordered and received a fifth as the spare. So I'm fully setup for 5 tire rotations on this new setup.
Glad I picked up the 20" MSW wheels and General Grabber HTS60's a few weeks ago. They ride great, have better efficiency (so far), and are FAR cheaper to replace. I really love Michelins, but I had no tread left.
My rear rotors are somewhat corroded. Brought this up to the tech, said it's because they don't get used much.
As someone who does all work on my vehicles myself, I know this to be mostly true.
My wife's brand new CRV needed to rear pads/rotors at 38k (JUST out of warranty) due to stuck...
Fun fact: your trip meter counts vampire drain towards efficiency.
Parked the truck after a 20 mile grocery store trip with the new 20's/HTS60's in 275/60/R20 with 2.87 mi/kWh. Got in it three days later and it had dropped to 1.7 mi/kWh.
