It depends on what I'm trying to do, but since I haven't found a way to keep the rear camera clear, I often switch to the bed camera, which is simple and quick. Unfortunately, I also commonly get out of the truck and wipe the rear camera lens.
Edited for explanation: I live in Vermont in a town...
I had the same warning message last month at a RAN charging site. I had used navigation to get to the charging site, but never noticed whether it preconditioned or not. Rivian support asked me to try and duplicate the problem, but I don't really want to get to the RAN 45 miles from home, with...
I've driven in much worse weather in cars that weren't as good in snow as my R1T, but I've never felt as snow blind as during what was, in reality, just heavy flurries in the R1T. The conditions the other night would have been safe in my Jeep Gladiator(previous daily driver), or my RAM 1500(the...
I just had the issue here in Vermont. Wet, sticky, big flake snow at night, and it was blinding. In all my previous cars, I could have put on parking lights or fog lights and had some visibility. I was shocked to find that I couldn't have just a fog light option. I had a four-mile drive that in...
Here is the scenario: I'm driving along and enjoying the silence. The audio source is Sirius XM or Spotify, maybe others, but those are the two I use most often. I've turned them off in order to commune with my thoughts or talk with a passenger. My phone rings, I answer it, have a conversation...
The most important thing is that they must stand up to snow, ice, mud, and other elemental challenges. We live in a town with two paved roads and at least four seasons. We have stick season, mud season, and probably a few more in addition to winter, spring, summer, and fall. In my experience, on...
It happens to me, too. Since I normally back into the garage, it happens when I start to move forward. My wife comments about it. Her car is a hybrid, and the emergency brakes don't engage when she parks, so she doesn't get the same "bang" when she starts moving. The noise is a little worrying...

I'm getting a little suspect of the place that inspects my Gen 1 R1T, and would like to try somewhere new. Does anyone have a recommendation for an EV friendly and EV savvy Inspection Station somewhere along the 89 corridor?
I must have missed some news or discussion about a reduction of service in Gen 1 vehicles for Highway Assist. I drive from central Vermont to Boston once a month. In the past, I could use Highway Assist for big chunks of I-89 and I-93. Of late, I can't seem to use Highway Assist anywhere. I just...
I took delivery of my 2023 R1T almost exactly two years ago. It's been in the service center for about 24 days. It's there now. I live in Vermont, about a three-hour drive from the Chelsea service center. With charging stops, it's about a seven-hour roundtrip. I absolutely love the truck. When...
Most of the wear is on the outer edge of the tires. My rear dampers are leaking, so that could be an issue. Just got a service appointment for early March. Thanks!
I live in a town with only two paved roads, and we've had a lot of snow this winter. I drive in snow mode on a fairly regular basis. In the past, my front wheels typically wore out faster. I got ~25k miles out of the first set, but this time the fronts still look new and the back are bald after...
