Asked my guide for clarification. They reiterated that I'd have to initiate a second order and lose the deposit on my pre-order to lease.

That's interesting, mine said the exact opposite: that I couldn't lease with the current pre-order and would have to submit a new order from the shop to lease

Definitely true for me. I was 100% ready to buy at 3-4% rate, but already owning a nice low milage ICE and with the current rates, going to hold off.
I would probably lease if they offer it on the R1S
I have a pneumatic lift cart from harbor freight that will raise to the tailgate height. Put tent on cart, jack it up, lay it down. You'd need a decent amount of upper body strength for this method, but it is fast and can be done alone
I used my R1T to power my house for 4 days during a recent outage. It powered a freezer, refrigerator, lights, computer, and my whole house fan. Saw about 6% loss per day. I used extension cords, but next time I may wire it into the circuit breaker box for convenience.
Or buy a whole house...
As a younger man, I drove an 8ft bed f150 for years and never thought about a tonneau cover.
Now I have a wife and 2 kids. Automatic tonneau cover has been amazing for keeping all of the things that come with a family protected. Mine has worked flawlessly for nearly a year
I ran 100 ft of 6/3 Copper wire in my 1993 built home last year. Wire was about $300. Took 2 hours. I'm a physician by trade, but my dad was an HVAC guy so I picked up a lot of skills working with him as a kid. Would not recommend working on a breaker box as an amateur diy guy. But anyone...
Also hady tech no-show on Friday. I do have a big torque wrench, so I'll probably just do this myself for now, and still have them come later to re-do it for the record
That's way too long. It would be 40" past the rear crossbar and 25" beyond the tailgate.
Roofnest condor XL will work per the manufacturer, but roofnest has a terrible reputation. I ended up with the x-cover 2. It's 6" too long technically, but I've just been supporting the rear floor on...
Bigger battery and less efficiency should help mitigate the relative cost of heating the cab compared to a Tesla or other small EV.
I've been getting ~1.8 mi/kWh in the morning and 2.2 in the evening on a flat 160 mile roundtrip commute. Not sure why, could be colder mornings, 80mph
