  1. Level 3 Charging 2025-2026 for Rivian R1S May Require a $300 "Accessory"

You should get it out and post a picture. It's probably a level 2 adapter, not a level 3 DCFC adapter.
  2. Level 3 Charging 2025-2026 for Rivian R1S May Require a $300 "Accessory"

There's a few inaccuracies/misconceptions here. I think this has already been pointed out but NACS is on 2026+ Rivians, not 2025+. There are about 50k Level 3 chargers (DC Fast Chargers) in the US. Roughly half of those are Tesla Superchargers that you can use natively. More and more 3rd...
  3. Adaptive High Beams Light Show in Fog

I’m curious what other drivers see with the gen 2 adaptive high beams.
  4. Kick turn help

So I went out and did a little more testing and was able to answer my own question. Net, if the ground is too soft, kick turn just digs 4 holes. The ground wasn’t wet at all, just a bit sandy. To give context, a 2 wheel drive vehicle with highway tires would have no issues with traction on this...
  5. Kick turn help

I’ve been trying out the new kick turn feature. But all I seem to be able to do with it is dig holes with my tires. What am I doing wrong? Is the dirt here too soft?
  6. Considering a new Quad

Picked up the new quad on Friday. Drove it up to Dallas this weekend to visit my wife’s family. I’m really happy with it.
  7. Portable Charger Recommendations

Since Rivian is no longer including a portable charger in 2026 vehicles, what's the current thinking on the best portable charging solution? The Rivian charger is $400 in the gear shop. Tesla sells theirs for $300 and they can be found cheaper on eBay. Both of those can do 32 amps. Lectron...
  8. Considering a new Quad

I placed an order for a storm blue quad R1T with the dune wheels at the Austin rivian space this afternoon.
  9. Considering a new Quad

I didn't know they had gone to a heat pump. That's great to hear.
  10. Considering a new Quad

I built a tri in the configurator and it was less than $10k cheaper than the quad. At that point, I think I would rather have the quad. The performance dual is interesting though. 370 miles of range on the ATs is a compelling option at about $20k cheaper when configured more or less equivalently.
  11. Considering a new Quad

I previously owned a 2022 R1T. It was a relatively early vin and I really enjoyed it. I sold it a year ago after buying another off-road vehicle. A year later, I'm missing the Rivian and I'm missing having a pickup more than I expected. I'm considering the new quad. I'm curious what the...
  12. Texas For Sale: 2022 R1T El Cap Granite w/ Forest Edge Interior, 26k miles; $56k, PENDING

Yes, they're noisy but still have some tread on them. They're due to be replaced soon though.
  13. Texas For Sale: 2022 R1T El Cap Granite w/ Forest Edge Interior, 26k miles; $56k, PENDING

From what I understand, it's supposed to be able to be retrofitted but I haven't really looked into it too closely. I've been pretty happy with the manual cover.

  15. Toyo Open Country A/T III EV Tires (LT275/65R20) - Fantastic (Review & Efficiency Stats)

Thanks for the review. My Pirellis need to be replaced soon at about 26k miles. These Toyos seem like the best bet. At this point I’m mostly trying to decide if I should go with the LT or the SL version.
  16. Garage Remote Limitations

Just wanted to update that I was finally able to get my gate(s) paired with my R1T. What I ended up doing was buying one of these universal remotes from Amazon. I programmed it to open my gates. Then I used the new universal remote to program my R1T opener. For whatever reason, it liked the...
  17. Anyone receive an R2 Configuration Survey from Rivian?

It’s hard to tell from the description but it sounds like this is what is known as a conjoint study. They’re showing you baskets of options to determine the relative value you place on the component features. The designs of these studies/questions/baskets are mathematically driven and don’t...
  18. How do I cancel TuneIn?

The reason for this thread was that this didn’t work for myself and others. I suspect they may have fixed this in the past day after receiving a number of contacts from folks that signed up through the in-vehicle Rivian trial flow.
  19. How do I cancel TuneIn?

Just received an email from TuneIn that they’ve cancelled my subscription. I don’t think it’s malicious, I think that their Rivian app just isn’t fully baked in terms of how it hooks into their account management system.
  20. How do I cancel TuneIn?

Nope, that was one of the first places I checked. Apple has a central place for managing all subscriptions. No TuneIn listed there unfortunately.
