Anyone know if you could pull the headliner down? I have a rattle between the grab handle and sunshade, but I pulled it down a little and noticed an airbag there.
Feels the same to me. R1S running boards are a little shorter and require 1 less bracket, but other than that I didn't notice any difference. Feels just as heavy and sturdy as before.
Installed the triple square running boards on my Gen 2 R1S today. Went with the panel removal method since its a lease. Managed to do it in about 2 hours using I the lessons I learned from installing it on my R1T a few years ago.
As far as I know the Gen 2 R1S uses the same AGM batteries that Gen 1 has. They just decided to move it to a more inconvenient place. There is a battery terminal in the frunk that you could hook up a battery tender to, but the BMS should be keeping it charged.
Got my R1S back from the service center yesterday. They ended up having an Engineer from Rivian fly out to figure out the issue. Turns out one of the modules that communicates with the BMS was defective. It was replaced and they ran tests to make sure everything is ok. My R1S was charged to 100%...
I had my Gen 1 R1T for 1.5 years. It was problem free for the first few months, and just needed service center visits for a few recalls and some minor issues which were taken care of in a day (except the 12v warning which took them 4 days to fix). I had my Gen 2 R1S for 1 month, 12v died which...
Its now been 4 weeks and they still haven't discovered a solution. My Connect+ plan expired today as well. The service center has been great at sending me updates, but each update is pretty much that they are waiting for Rivian Engineers to figure out the issue. I've told them I want to initiate...
Rental contract says they are paying $71/day. This is a discount because Model 3 is listed at something like $100/day for Enterprise. I'm now 3 weeks in, so they have now payed $1633 in rental fees.
This isn't an issue with the 12v. There is a module related to the HV system that is defective, and it caused the 12v to drain and the HV to go into safety mode. The fix for that module is what they are trying to figure out.
2 weeks ago my 1 month old Gen 2 R1S's 12V battery died. It ended up getting towed to a service center. 2 techs spent 2 and a half days trying to diagnose the issue. Originally they thought there was an issue with the HV battery. But they could not find the problem and said isolation tests...
