If Rivian released the R1S first, is be driving a Ford Lightning right now. Rivian beat Ford to delivery by 1 week. This would be the case for a lot of other people too. Being the first EV truck was more important. R1T also had more reservations than R1S.
My only concern about the running boards is wind noise. Other than that they look pretty solid. Running boards will make it easier for my wife and daughter to get in the truck.
Sounds like you need an F150 Lightning. I actually had a shot at both trucks, and ended up picking the R1T because the Ford dealer low balled me on trading in the R1T. For me, R1T was the better decision because I like having a slightly smaller truck. Lightning is still a great truck though...
I'll be taking my R1T into the mountains in a few weeks. I'm also on 21s. Just curious if you've tried conserve mode? I saw on another thread that someone said conserve mode made driving in the snow feel more stable.
That is not 100% correct. Especially on an incline, weight is a big factor. The heavier the car, the more friction there will need to be between the tires and the road in order to stop the vehicle.
Cybertruck doesn't exist yet. This will only be impressive once Cybertruck is being produced and there are actually v4 chargers deployed with enough numbers where its a viable option to charge at one.
For me at least, Tesla. No hesitation there. Route I take from Southern California to Northern California has supercharger sites with 50+ chargers at multiple sites. EA stations only have 4 to 6 chargers at each site, with 2 of them broken at each site lately.
According to the charge point app, my truck loses 1 to 1.5kw a day when not in use. Was around 2 to 3 when I first got the truck in June. Not great, but not terrible at this point either.
I filed a service request and about 2 hours later got the .3 update notification for my truck. Updating it right now, hopefully that fixes it for me as well.
Good to hear. I've avoided driver+ on certain routes because it would try to ram me into the car in the lane to the right of me. Though so far driver+ has been 100% perfect at night, just has trouble for me during the day.
