  1. Stock price - do people realize Rivian (RIVN) is NOT Tesla (TSLA)??

If Rivian released the R1S first, is be driving a Ford Lightning right now. Rivian beat Ford to delivery by 1 week. This would be the case for a lot of other people too. Being the first EV truck was more important. R1T also had more reservations than R1S.
  2. Cabin Heater Impacted Significantly by Outside Temp

Was up on the mountains this weekend. 20s at night and heater worked just fine. Cabin was comfortable after about 5 minutes.
  3. How many people have pre-ordered RMaxx Running Boards/Sliders from Team 1EV?

My only concern about the running boards is wind noise. Other than that they look pretty solid. Running boards will make it easier for my wife and daughter to get in the truck.
  4. Introducing RMaxx Running Boards & Rock Sliders for Rivian R1T / R1S from Team 1EV

Just curious, has there been any tests with wind noise generated from the running boards?
  5. I miss having a full size truck

Sounds like you need an F150 Lightning. I actually had a shot at both trucks, and ended up picking the R1T because the Ford dealer low balled me on trading in the R1T. For me, R1T was the better decision because I like having a slightly smaller truck. Lightning is still a great truck though...
  6. Best temporary snow solution for tires?

I have the 21" wheels and just bought autosocks for them. I used them before on my Chevy Colorado and they worked completely fine in Tahoe.
  7. Your experience stopping on snow, on a downslope hill?

I'll be taking my R1T into the mountains in a few weeks. I'm also on 21s. Just curious if you've tried conserve mode? I saw on another thread that someone said conserve mode made driving in the snow feel more stable.
  8. Your experience stopping on snow, on a downslope hill?

That is not 100% correct. Especially on an incline, weight is a big factor. The heavier the car, the more friction there will need to be between the tires and the road in order to stop the vehicle.
  9. Woa Tesla Cybertruck getting 1000-Volt architecture capable of V4 supercharging

Cybertruck doesn't exist yet. This will only be impressive once Cybertruck is being produced and there are actually v4 chargers deployed with enough numbers where its a viable option to charge at one.
  10. Poll: How often do you use the Camp Speaker?

I honestly have never removed it to check if it even works.
  11. If you could be on the CCS or Super Charger network moving forward, which would you choose?

For me at least, Tesla. No hesitation there. Route I take from Southern California to Northern California has supercharger sites with 50+ chargers at multiple sites. EA stations only have 4 to 6 chargers at each site, with 2 of them broken at each site lately.
  12. Sacramento Rivian charger broken

This might be a new record for chargers to break so quickly.
  13. Alex on Autos' Follow-Up After Selling His R1T

According to the charge point app, my truck loses 1 to 1.5kw a day when not in use. Was around 2 to 3 when I first got the truck in June. Not great, but not terrible at this point either.
  14. Introducing RMaxx Running Boards & Rock Sliders for Rivian R1T / R1S from Team 1EV

Looking forward to these. Hoping installation isn't too difficult. Decided to jump the gun and order them.
  15. Do I Spy Running Boards???

Agreed, I'd like running boards, but those are way too heavy for only using for that purpose.
  16. Do I Spy Running Boards???

Hopefully this is something that will be mass produced. Still can't believe Rivian didn't think about running boards.
  17. 39.1 OTA bugs (compressor, audio controls, etc.)

I filed a service request and about 2 hours later got the .3 update notification for my truck. Updating it right now, hopefully that fixes it for me as well.
  18. 39.1 OTA bugs (compressor, audio controls, etc.)

Looks like I've joined the broken air compressor party. Was going to pump up my tires today and noticed it was off and not functional.
  19. Driver+ much better in the new software update

Good to hear. I've avoided driver+ on certain routes because it would try to ram me into the car in the lane to the right of me. Though so far driver+ has been 100% perfect at night, just has trouble for me during the day.
