I disagree saying that's negligible. 1400+kWh is nearly two months of electric usage for the average US household.
That's up to $570 if you're in San Diego (worst case), or $325 If you're average. Over a 5 year span you're now at $1600-$2800 wasted.
I'm not as close to delivery as you but having the same concerns. I suspect if it hasn't already been fixed there could be a hardware issue. If not then Rivian's programmers are trash, which I'm less inclined to accept as an answer.

I have a hard time seeing this being anything overwhelming. There's already a quick turnaround for a r1t... Why waste time going to factory for an unknown configuration, needing a second driver vs accepting whatever trade in value you can get, etc.

Just remember to consider the cost of taxes you'll pay on the purchase, and any fees from websites you sell on. But at old pricing and if you locked in tax rebate, I'd be shocked if you couldn't find a buyer to at least turn some profit locally. Many of us are on waiting lists with no ETA still...
