I had never done any real off-roading, but I could tell my R1T with 21" all-season tires was pretty special after pulling a few trailers out of soft, grassy yards. A quick internet search for off-road parks suitable for Jeeps and trucks in central South Carolina yielded Gulches and Carolina...
Thank you, Rivian! Every day since I got my R1T in February has felt like Christmas in this awesome truck. Now, for next year, please send an OTA update to unleash 165 more horsepower along with a Dragstrip Mode that optimizes launch and removes all speed limitations for a half mile, and more...
In August, when RAN charging was free, my 7477 truck failed to charge only at RAN chargers. Required a service center visit where they replaced the Central Gateway Module. It was a known issue.
Same issue for me. 2DNU is the only way I’ll use the map, and this new view confuses me. Fortunately it corrects itself pretty quickly. I’m hoping a fix is forthcoming.
My reviews for the lane change update:
Home run!
Five stars!
Two big thumbs up!
Attaboy, Rivian!
Keep up the good work!
I’m hoping a near future update will keep climate control settings as set by the driver until he changes them, instead of having to reset for every drive.

Went there today. My first time off-roading anything, so they provided a complimentary escort/guide. Had a blast but was really concerned about damaging sheet metal. The trails are narrow rutted gulches often with trees very close to the sides. Didn’t get a scratch though. The truck...
Wanna find a million new Rivian logo Easter eggs? Look REALLY close at the texture on the bed floor. Use a magnifying glass if you're over 45. It's sorta like the original phone charging pad.
I, too, greatly appreciate these updates and eagerly anticipate their periodic arrival. One cool addition I would like to see is a fourth screen added to the efficiency/gps/tire pressure rotation is a 2” diameter analog clock with day and date. Maybe even replace the gps screen since it’s redundant.
As the OP knows, the issue is more complicated than most realize. I'm a solar installer and have a very small array on my very large house, operating with SolarEdge and two LG batteries. My utility charges me 5.2 cents per kWh off-peak, and 34.4 cents on-peak. I consume about 110 kWh every...
My mobile service tech also told me they could do this on site, but it would require a second person. They will be staffing up. Of course, I volunteered to help with mine.
I seem to go for cult vehicles (this forum constitutes a cult--right?). My DD was a 2010 BMW 335d that I bought in 2013. I put over 200,000 miles on it (and still have it) but am putting a battery maintenance charger on it most of the time. When I got it, I was driving a GMC 1500HD, which was...
The RAN on Pelham Road in Greenville is your savior. Also, there is a Hot Spot station at exit 10 on I-26 that comes in handy. There’s another Hot Spot in downtown Spartanburg if you’re going there.
The Walmart on Harbison Road in Columbia (exit 103) is the last chance to charge before the...
