Interesting. Not a lot of solid info out there on the LFP behavior. Have heard so many conflicting reports of best practices for charging, discharging, calibration etc. Didn't realize the system will force a 100% charge if it need it. Good to know!
No excuse for this not being worked out pre-delivery! I would say if this had been happening on early VIN Gen1's, totally understandable, but a year into production of Gen2?!
Certainly hope the Standard range performs as advertised. If we're not able to routinely make a 130mi trip without...
Took delivery of our 2nd Rivian over the weekend. We were very excited to experience all the Gen2 enhancements after living with our Gen1 R1T for several years now.
Delivery experience was seamless, as we expected it to be, and drive home was mostly uneventful. I was interested to see how the...
Had mine in for service at Taulatin in October. They were saying that they already have a site and it was scheduled for 2025. Hasn't appeared on any official lists yet, but I'm hopeful!
Gave it a shot. No luck. On to looking at other sources. Padded all areas where hood contacts the frame when closed. Thought for sure that would be the culprit as the hood frame bare metal just rides on those adjustment bolts in the back area. No luck with that either.
Latest thinking is that...
Ok thanks. Can't hurt to add some foam in those areas. In my case the noise is there in all HVAC modes (including off), so I'm doubtful that it's coming from those areas.
Air intake for...? The cabin air filter area? Where the cooling louvers are? I've been experimenting with putting extra foam tape around the frunk/hood and haven't solved it yet.
Searching for the source of some chirping/whistling noise that comes on at speed (anything above 45mph). Does not seem to be wind noise. Had wind noise issues early on and I have done all the wind noise fixes with extra trim and sealing of the triangle window gaps. That solved that issue 10k...
Just put on ltx platinums. 200 miles in so far and they are meeting all my requirements: silent, smooth, much improved road handeling, modest efficiency bump(more mileage needed for conclusive determination), look great! No winter testing yet, but plan on using dedicated winters next year.
