This post will be useful for somebody. Good Post!
My delivery is tomorrow, thankfully my lone issue was resolved. My bank made my check out to Rivian and me. So I needed to sign the front and the back of the check. 8 steps only asked for a picture of the front of the check. My Guide emails...
I just saw somebody mention on another post and I ordered my crossbars for $450. They were just $550 or something earlier today. Didn't really need need them yet but when I saw the price updated I went for it.
I'm getting delivery of my R1T tomorrow and I was just on the site earlier this afternoon and the crossbars were priced at $550 or $575. Saw your post and went back and ordered for $450. Thanks for the post!!!
I didn't even bother to check and went with my credit union. I figured Rivian is making a profit over Chase's rate, so you will pay for the convenience.
Keep in mind unless you are buying a vehicle from the R1-shop that is already at the service center you'll have plenty of time to get rates...
I too thought that the listed trucks were already in the area... not the case. Before making the selection my guide checked and my service center only had 1 vehicle. I didn't want that one so chose from the shop. The vehicle was still in Normal. My vehicle ended up being at my service...

I did a drive-by at the Richmond SC yesterday.... that place is hopping. More vehicles than I've ever seen there. Granted I have not been past it in a couple of months. They had vehicles parked outside the gate. I usually have to do my drooling through the fence.
@ranieri Congrats on having your vehicle ready.
Sorry off topic question, had you already completed step 7 (payment) before getting this email? My truck has supposedly been at the service center for a couple of weeks. Guide told me I'm fine making payment after it passes local checks but...
You are spitting in the wind if you are expecting a January update before 1/27/23. Even hoping for an update before the last Friday in the month is asking for a lot. We've been here for a bit and should set expectations appropriately.
My window is not under a year, more like almost 2 years. You speak of perspective people with a 4 year wait... how long of that time was Rivian actually producing trucks? My perspective has been based on seeing many posts on the forums and Reddit with people averaging about 1 year from...
