I’ve only charged at a level 3 charger four times in the two years I’ve had my R1T. Each time it pulled north of 200kw peak but stayed close to that for the bulk of the charging time.
The closest Costco to me, which is in Rockaway, New Jersey was like pulling teeth to try and get tires. I called them several times over three weeks trying to get someone who understood there is such thing as a 21 inch tire and Michelin defenders are now being made in that size. When I finally...
I’m curious if road force balancing is required for our trucks. I’ve seen a lot of talk on here about folks getting road force balancing when putting new tires on their R1T. I have 21 inch wheels and when I last had a new set of the Perelli tires put on my truck, they only utilized spin...
Unfortunately, it seems Rivian listened to all the bass-hungry folks complaining that there was too little bass output. It seems their fix was to jack the gain sky-high, creating a ton more bass, although it was more than adequate before. The result is a degradation of sound quality and...
So you have the Defenders in 20”, right? How would you say the handling compares between the 275/60/20 with a 1/2” taller sidewall versus the OE 275/55/21?
It's hard to say which way you should go. I was in the same boat, as are many here, with the factory 21". I've had my truck since September of 2022 and have already replaced the factory 21" Pirelli tires once. Now I'm due for tires again. I would have liked to stick with the 21" but get...
There is no doubt yours attaches in a higher quality/more secure manner. Just figured I would check since the rest of the design is so close to theirs. I’ll be placing an order for yours today. Thank you for your reply.
I can appreciate that and I’m in the same boat. I’d rather go for the quality, too. Just figured I would check if there is a forum member discount before pulling the trigger.
I like that it doesn’t require drilling into the bed or any other permanent alterations, but the price is almost 3x what others are priced at. Rough Country, for example, looks virtually identical to your design except for the attachment location. Theirs requires drilling three holes, but the...
As several have already stated, if you have the means, go for it. I wouldn’t take a big bath on the trade-in though, and probably wouldn’t trade it in at all. Rather, sell it private sale, so you get the most out of it. Between the vehicles, though, in my opinion, there is no better all around...
I have to say, in the R1T (Meridian system), with the right equalizer settings, the audio is clear, nuanced, and not really lacking bass. It’s an interesting choice for Rivian to have put a 6 x 9 woofer as the subwoofer when they could have certainly fit an eight or a 10 inch in that same area...
They might need to do some serious marketing / awareness campaign to get that many preorders. I still get people asking all the time, who makes that truck, and who is Rivian.
Just changed out original 21” set last week with 25.5k miles on them. Rotated roughly every 6-7k. They had about 4.5/32 tread on them. Could have squeezed a few thousand miles more but wanted better tread for winter driving.
I received the same “service suspension system soon” message a few days ago and wasn’t able to change drive modes or my suspension settings. I did a system restart, but it didn’t work. So, I spoke with support and they recommended a “sleep restart”, which occurs after making the truck go to...
