There’s only one way to find out..
On my 2016 Tesla I was able to fully upgrade the car to HW3. Some of it was upgradeable without any additional hardware (rear camera) some of it required configuration (repeaters) some required
harnesses (pillar cams) and to get them all working with HW3...
Those nubs are just to hold it in, the pin pattern will matter more than anything else. That said generally the nub alignments are due to different pin/wiring patterns so it might not work. The big question though is, would it even be any better in terms of quality?
If the Gen2 cameras are...
FWIW, the Gen2 taillight bar works. Same plug, screws etc. I rolled the dice when I replaced mine.
Can you confirm the part numbers? Your pictures didn't show them.
Based on eBay..which isn't always reliable it looks like PT00465707-D is listed as for R1T/R1S but it has a different mounting...
Feedback:
The audio update fixed a lot of my issues with buffering, inconsistent quality, and inconsistent sound levels in my Gen1 Meridian. It sounds good again!
I also don’t know how they did it, but I was having a lot of vibration - was about to schedule for a road force balance - but it’s...
I hate to tell you this, but neither will let you “escape the city”
On a good day it’ll take you what? 4-5 hours to escape the city and hit somewhere “rural”. In an apocalyptic scenario you would be fighting others to get through the choke points to exit LI to get into Manhattan, only to fight...
Um...why?!?!
I have/had 4 Model Xs, 2 Model Ys, 1 Model S. All of which crossed 100,000 miles. Only one has ever needed a battery replacement and that was on the oldest one - a 2016 with just about 200,000 miles on it. It had it's first 12v battery replacement two years ago and it's still...
Back in 2017?...Tesla offered FSD for a one time fee of $1500. I remembered looking at it as vaporware (still is..) but decided to take a gamble on it. I never got the FSD that was promised, but Tesla ended up upgrading my vehicle multiple times because of that one time fee. That included...
That looks like the same type of tag as an EZ-Pass.
I put mine up by the rear view mirror, directly below the black cutout for the sensors using generic dual lock tape strips from Amazon.
My truck has been to every state east of the Mississippi and I haven't had any issues with that mounting...
I would hope you can either set the default music app or tell the RA to play it on _____.
On that note, is it even activated with “Alexa” anymore? Or will it be another wake word?
As a Kia EV9 owner, and a F150 Lightning owner, there's a couple of things I think you should consider.
Kia - We loved ours for 2 years, then the squeaks. So many squeaks. We're not even sure why it's squeaking but it drives me absolutely insane. Outside of that, it's super comfortable...
Tires, but I wouldn't call that a Failure. It's normal wear and tear IMO.
True Failure? With a capital F, is easily the Alexa integration.
Alexa, take me to Home Depot. Sure, it uses Google Maps. Sure google knows there's one half a mile away and shows it when I type it in, but Alexa finds...
Just as a point of feedback, my Kia EV9 does something similar.
When it is put into Snow Mode, it still locks it into all 4 wheels but it restricts the Regen to the lowest level and won't let you increase it. It's so low that...it's completely ineffective. I end up needing to use the brake...
I haven't tried the gear shop one, but I've tried a bunch of other ones as they were more affordable.
Most of them were 3D printed and didn't hold up well to heavier tablets. Especially when the kids went to pull the tablets off, they weren't great with releasing the arms and ultimately...
What’s the age of the kids and how many?
I’ve driven down the entire east coast with mine in several different cars
General tips:
1) Leave immediately after school. They occupy themselves with snacking, convos about their day, and they enjoy the little bit of downtime for unwinding.
2) It...
It’s hard to say. My Model S is still chugging along after 10+ years and 200,000 miles and not needing much, while our complex Model X needed roughly $8,000 worth of repairs for silly items (rear seat, steering column) around 5 years and 85000 miles, and while much simpler our Model 3 needed a...
Thread title...R1T - Truck.
You have a R1S - SUV, that has the washer nozzle and your camera is mounted higher up. Us poor truck souls have it lower in the bumper where it gets dirty and no nozzle.
My bumper cam is near useless as I live on a dirt/gravel road. I usually resort to the bed...
I'm the opposite. The F-150 Lightning had this type of configuration and I was constantly wishing it was using Rivian's clutch system to allow a full disconnect. The same for my EV9.
The option to do either would be great, but for me I prefer the full disconnect. That said, I prefer it...
