That's a bit like comparing a Toyota Tacoma (23mpg) with a Kia Seltos (34mpg), a Hyundai Tucson (33mpg), a Nissan Kicks (35mpg), and a Ford Escape (30mpg)
It's just a little odd...you could have just as easily said the R1T's efficiency is significantly better than a F-150 Lightning, Sierra EV...
Did anyone else buy a EV Sportline Bed Extender/Snowboard rack?
I was previously using an INNO snowboard rack on my crossbars over the bed. While it worked, I didn't love how dirty the boards got or mainly the lack of visibility while they were back there. I finally decided to just throw...
Perception vs reality.
A F series truck can easily be over $100,000, but it won’t carry the stigma that a used Ferrari 360 will.
The stigma around a Rivian in my area is that it’s for wealthy people. It’s seen as an EV Land Rover…which may cause some of the luxury concerns of new owners, where...
I'm not sure if the Mach-E was the same as the lightning, but I found the Ford BMS to be the most unreliable out of any other EV I've owned. The BMS would start being inaccurate after just a single DCFC session. By 2 consecutive sessions (ie, no rest - 500+mi of straight driving) it would be...
FWIW, my 2022 was charged to 100% quite a bit (at least twice a week) always on L2 AC. It also saw 4-6 DCFC cycles a week from about 5% to about 80%. It has been run dead, ran out of charge less than 10 feet from a charger. It saw tow cycles, it saw freezing temps in the northeast with a plow...
I literally just did this, after reading and test driving extensively, I went back to a 22.
- Was finding used dual max around $70k, Tris around $95k, quads weren’t available.
- I got mine with less than 20,000 miles on it for just under $50k.
At that rate of depreciation, I could buy a Gen 2...
For one that stretches, I'm using this one:
https://www.amazon.com/ARKSEN-Tangle-Free-Universal-Stretches-Storage/dp/B07J4FSSWM?th=1
I use it in 3x3 hook configuration when the tailgate is up and 3x4 configuration when I'm using the EV1 bed extender.
1) Decide what you want. There were a lot of changes on the 22s. Frunk outlet, Meridian Audio, 12v under dash plug, tailgate trim, powered cover etc. If any of those matter to you, make sure you find the VIN range that has it.
2) Along the same lines. Make sure it has the options you want...
I feel like a dunce with mine. The speed limit display on the right is much better. Same with the drivers assist blue bar. But how do you move the maps to the middle? Holding the right thumb wheel down doesn’t do anything for me. Does it work for you?
My car was asleep for a couple of days, no update. Went and moved the car a pretty short distance and got a notification to install about 15 minutes later...probably a coincidence..
I have a Gen1 R1T, I've also had...4? Model Xs. AP1 60D, AP2 75D, AP2.5 90D, and a 2022 Non Plaid. I also have a Kia EV9 GT, so hopefully this will help.
In Conserve mode, it is very similar to moving it into "Chill" It remaps the throttle so it's less responsive and limits power output quite...
The color always looks better in person than it does in picture. The same goes for the E36 M3 in Techno Violet. In pictures it just doesn't excite me, but in person I think it's a gorgeous color for the car.
It looks incomplete. How in the world do you accent the front bumper in blue, bottom sides in blue and the rear end is just..normal? Come on Rivian..do better
also, needs a Barbie logo on it. That entire design them doesn’t scream Miami, it screams Barbie promo to me.
The Tesla access is good in a pinch, but it’s really slow. I avoid them if I can, often preferring to stop early and deep charge. At 85% I’m still charging at 135kW, at 90% is when I start seeing the speeds I see at superchargers on it.
We’ve taken ours in the South, TN/WV/SC but not along the...
