i’d love a forest green and forest edge combo..my partner will just have to suck it up.. vetoed forest green for the R1S purchase and later said ‘oops, that actually does look good’. It’s been haunting me ever since, though i do really like the limestone too.
So when I get an R1T or maybe R3X...
ya'll make me wanna redo my wiring. now if i wasn't so lazy. one day when my motivation hits, i'll give it ago. appreciate the photos and story.
The camera setup is working flawlessly still. Took it on multiple cross country trips already.
I had the AT wheels. They performed well in winter, but still not a real winter tire of course. They got too loud for my family after about 13-15k miles and swapped to Michelin Defenders.
Spot on with what I mean. Functionally there's no real difference. It's more of an aesthetic issue, albeit a tiny difference, that bugs me, but I'm a bit loony about these things.
Forgot to mention that it was difficult, and I wasn't successful, to center the camera when putting the camera bracket into the 3D printed cap. In the end though, it's a product that I'm sure will continue to be improved, and I'm fine with tinkering, and on top of it, it's 99% functional and...
Rig'd ultraswing. https://www.rigdsupply.com/products/ultraswing-multi-fit-l-spare-tire-hitch-mount-rigd-supply?_pos=6&_sid=c56daf1d9&_ss=r
It's actually 100$ cheaper than when I bought mine a year ago. The swing has been great. I'd recommend mounting the wheel at the highest point so there's...
Looks like I just needed to press harder. The tolerance is quite tight which is likely a good thing.
Had a momentary scare initially when the software said there was a camera issue, but it quickly resolved itself.
My partner and I are very excited. Just in time for some camping and a long road...
@jrd should it be flush on the bottom of the camera mount to the wheel? Maybe I need to push in the bottom more?
I'll take photos tomorrow.
@Sidney I actually tried with that extra spacer and without. Currently have it without the spacer. Maybe that's where the gap I'm seeing at the bottom...
I can't wait to install these on my R1S. Planning to go with the 275/60/20 instead though.. hoping for better efficiencies. We're only at 11k miles but the noise is quite bad already.
I got the fridge in!
So it fits for sure. It unfortunately doesn't sit in their centered and I didn't want to take off the felt covers (there's wires and such that is hidden behind it). The good thing about it not being centered is that it forces you to have a bit of space on the left that you...
Really appreciate the summary.
This right here is why I am not seeing AI as the panacea so many folks see it as. Show me an AI that can so succinctly with so much character summarize this thread with the specific personality of an individual. =D
Anyone here who still have the front runner wind fairing, would one of you measure the distance between the two outer mounting positions, out of the four total (longest distance between mounting points)? I've ordered one of these, but just realized it may not work with my setup.
@Mars Adventure Gear Were you able to use the cable that the fridge comes with to connect it to the Rivian's outlets while it's sitting in there? Are you using the dc or ac cable?
Edit: Looked closer at your pictures, and it looks like you're using the stock DC cable.
I read up on your setup yesterday and likely will be taking your fridge setup with the lifted cargo lid situation. Great space optimized setup, especially since I take a hitched full spare with me on trips.
Looking through Iceco fridges, that fridge does seem to be the best option for that sub...

A smaller truck like an R2T would be so cool - maybe even a two seater? is that crazy? I've never had a truck so don't know what people prefer, 2 or 5 seat in a truck.
I find satisfaction whenever (and almost always) I see folks responding to people I have on my ignore list, and it reinforces that my initial read on someone is accurate.
There are a few folks here that I agree with mostly but disagree with at times, but I don't ignore because I respect their...
