I agree--also not a fan of the 21" wheel. Neither its appearance or the lack of tire options.
I think the stripped, bare metal appearance looks very good in comparison. In general I happen to think that light-colored cars with dark wheels, and vice versa, look best. So maybe clear-coat these...

Background - Where's the Proof for Claims Made in Original Post #1?
The OP #1 (cheekily) advocates for higher-profile, road tires on smaller (20") wheel-rims (as opposed to lower-profile tires on larger 22" wheel-rims, as Rivian seems...
I purchased a few shares in the company a couple of years ago--not because I expected to make any money, but because I wanted to support, in a small way, new and innovative thinking.
Would I buy one? Sorry, but I don't think so. Right or wrong, I have too much of a bias against three-wheeled...
I recently posted "Want to Buy" ads in a few places on the Internet*, asking to purchase a Rivian Key Band (aka "Wrist Band," "Wrist Key," etc.). The wisdom of buying such a (relatively expensive and arguably notorious) gadget aside, within a relatively short time I had to deal with twothree...
Interesting comments. I've never driven a Porsche, but I remember when actor Paul Walker was killed as a passenger in a Porsche Carrera GT, expert pundits were saying that the average driver is unprepared to safely pilot such a high-performance vehicle. Somehow, I don't think Rivian would ever...
As you can see, I've added a hopefully interesting and informative poll about the once and future(?) Rivian "R1" sports car. (I considered putting it in a separate thread. But in the end I decided to keep it here.)
I'd welcome comments about such an intriguing (or possibly divisive?) idea...
I suspect (but don't know for sure) that owners with Gen 1 vehicles with 21-inch wheels can still order (via the phone app; especially if you have the wheel-rim part number) or purchase over-the-counter 21-inch replacement wheels from Service Centers. And 21-inch tires should still be available...
Hmm. Would an information poll about this be entertaining; something that asked readers' potential interest in a revitalized Rivian sports car? For example, it could be something like this:
Early in Rivian's history, the initial goal was to create and market an affordable yet performance-laden...
Yes, that is a good suggestion. Time-wise, mention of that TV-series would probably best be in 4th-quarter 2019 (when the series was filmed) or 3rd-quarter 2020 (when the series aired on TV). So that would probably be in "Part 2" of the "History," if and when that is produced.
In the meantime...
Here is an updated version of a table I first created here (in another thread).

(Just came across this post.)
The mathematical average (mean) of 346 and 395 is 370.5--i.e., 371 when rounded up to a whole number.
Is that merely coincidence? Or could it explain the origin of the (inflated) 371 mile claim?

I got side-tracked by taxes and The History of Rivian Part 1 and kind of forgot about this. Here are those "additional screenshots" promised:

Didn't I see a speculation somewhere (on the Forum?) that a Rivian sports car could return someday? (Maybe if R2 and R3 are successful?)
If so, I just hope that it is a BEV (and no longer a hybrid).
