Not sure I agree with this. They should be using electric drivers with torque control on every single critical joint. I’m guessing this might have been overlooked during rework after assembly.
I just went through this exercise with my R1T. I also didn't really need A/T tires, so I went with the Michelin Agilis CrossClimate at Discount Tire. Very happy so far. Much smoother and quieter. Rides better and handles better. Good snow traction.
It was -6 this morning in Michigan, and I was comfortable with the HVAC set at 74 Auto. FWIW, I did use scheduled departure to pre-warm the cabin. I do wish the steering wheel was hotter though.
Edit to add: my battery was at 51 degrees when I started my drive. So maybe your truck was...
I'm not sure about that. Yes, I've seen people with later orders than me get their R1S before me. But I also see people who ordered before me still waiting. Maybe it's the specific build configuration that I have. Maybe it's the factory PPF I ordered. Maybe it's the exterior color...
12/19 pre-order. BM interior. Timing has slipped from Jun/July 2022 to Oct/Dec 2022 to Jan/Feb 2023 to March/April 2023. Guide has been worse than useless the entire way.
