6/21 delivery for VIN: 73XX
No major issues here other than the PPF on the driver side gear tunnel and front quarter panel are bubbling on the bottom, drivers window auto rollup not working and the rear seat touch panel is not accepting any touch changes at all - its on and I can see stuff on...
Ugh, this sucks to hear and I feel for the OP. If my truck did all that to me in 5 days, RJ would have been picking it up as a return with a refund. I’m keeping my fingers crossed every time I drive it that something doesn’t flip out and strand me somewhere. Never had that feeling with any...
I’ve got a lot of wants, but I’d really like to see:
1. Weather / Radar Map
2. A button that just flat out shuts the truck off like pressing the lock button on the fob or phone. I always park in a garage and usually like to keep the fob in the truck with the window down. I don’t like having...
According to this the bill passed: https://www.kmaland.com/news/iowa-senate-passes-bill-expanding-list-of-vehicles-not-needing-front-license-plate/article_2d946aee-81c1-11eb-9259-eba70bd37a4d.html
Hey all, curious if anyone else has seen or looked into this latest (2021) front license plate law in Iowa. Check this link out, the good facts start on line 28 on the first page. Makes it sound like we don't need a front plate since we'd have to drill or use adhesive to put the front plates...
Yep, same issue here. Sometimes it works just fine and opens and other times not. I tried spraying some dry lube on the latches and the moving parts on each side of the tailgate. Can't say it appears to help though..
@Lil'O Annie --- just curious of you've applied that dry lube others have been talking about on here to help the cover slide a little better? I live in a dusty place as well and I've got the can of dry lube on hand but haven't applied it yet. I'm really curious as to how much dust it...
omfg this thing is incredible. Happy to report everything is just how I hoped it’d be day one - including the tonneau cover! The a/c works great as do the ventilated seats, no panel gap issues, it’s way darker inside then I thought it’d be with glass roof, and then some. Performance/launch is...
^ good find, just completed the survey. That’s three now in Ankeny alone? Nice! We’re all gonna be fighting over the hyvee chargers :CWL:
maybe a place for a Rivian SC? Hmmm
omg, excited, scared, nervous, hope the tonneau cover doesn’t break day one, so many emotions! Was hoping the wall charger showed up prior to delivery but no luck there. Overall, pretty damn anxious for tomorrow. Fingers crossed they don’t call and have to delay!
@chrismc - I get that it doesn't meet the NEC for 60A circuit, the fact is the Wall Charger is only capable of pulling 48A. So that 48A is 20% of the 60A breaker and 6AWG is capable of the 65A.
I get the code and have now discussed with multiple electricians (one which I paid to come to my...
Just an update on my project status.. I've since went to our city building and passed the home owners electrical exam so I qualify for doing electrical work at my own house along with filing for a permit. I spoke to one of the city electrical inspectors for a while on this car charger...
Hmm, guess I had the plug type wrong. So, if I get ahold of one of these adapter cables then I should be set yeah? Male end goes in the dryer plug and the portable goes into the 14-50 female.
So the portable charger says it will do 32 amps. What happens if the breaker providing the power is only 30 amps? Will the charger adjust or just trip the breaker? One place I frequent has a stacked washer/dryer unit that has the standard 220 dryer plug that I plan on plugging the portable...
For those that have tried the dry lube - any reports? I assume you're just spraying it in the track on each side? Any other parts you're applying it to?
F it, I'm calling an actual electrician out.
Edit: I paid an electrician to come out to my place. In a nutshell, I’m doing the wiring myself (saving $2500) with 6/2 NM-B and getting a homeowner permit from the city that will include an inspection. His quote included exactly the same...
@ajdelange -- I'm just doing some reading regarding codes and safety, etc. Curious what you'd say if a guy found some 4/3 NM-B since it meets the 90c and supports the 70A where as the 6/3 supports up to 55A. ?? Better? Still a violation?
