While my G1 R1S QM AT was in the VN SC for trunk latch repair, I got a Silverado EV as a loaner. This was the basic work truck model and it felt like it. Very crude. Not exactly apple to apples comparison w/R1S since it's only 50% of R1S price, but wasn't impressed at all.
I would guess it's based on the # of SC's and Rivians in your area. I'm in L.A. and I have access to 3 SC's (VN, ES, and Burbank). Between the 3, it's less than a week for an appointment even though I'm sure this region probably has the most Rivians (pure speculation).
I don't know if it...
I also have a 2023 R1S and when I took it to SC for the 7,500 mile service, they proactively swapped out the 12v battery.
Did you have your vehicle serviced at Rivian? If so, did they mention anything about the 12v replacement?
It's been a while since I used the coiled hose, but it happened almost every time with the coiled hose vs sporadically with the OEM hose. Who knows what's actually causing it.
Already have one and it's stored in the bag hence the OEM hose in the storage area. Maybe I didn't get the right coiled hose, but it was the one that was recommended here a while ago. It's not as robust as the Rivian hose and it doesn't always stop at the desired psi i.e. I need to manually stop...
2+ years and no issues. Provided hose attaches to the vehicle outlet w/o any issues. I do have to make sure the rear mat doesn't get in the way otherwise I can't get the hose to straighten and attach properly.
The air pump/hose are great. I'm able to quickly inflate all the cars at our home...
$2100 for G1 R1S at Burbank SC.
I paid $1000 and SF paid $1100.
Looked at Safelite but there was some hassle about getting OEM windshield and wasn't sold on their ability to calibrate. Went with Rivian since I already had an appointment for an unrelated issue.
The windshield replacement was...
I tried to live with the noise coming from the rear and that's why I didn't try to open the rear lift gate until a few days later. However, it was more of clicking sound like something wasn't closed properly than just a loose rattle so I had to look. Glad I did so they don't claim I caused it.
Just seems odd these issues popped up after each visit to the SC and the original problem, even though they said they fixed it multiple times, still exists.
Maybe it's just coincidence or maybe the car wasn't designed properly and if they address one problem two more pop up...exponential...
First SC experience was at Burbank for the 7,500 mile service and everything was good. So when I needed repairs, I went there again. Unless VN totally screws up, I don't think I'll return to Burbank.
I know Burbank SC lost some people during last job cuts. There was a person I was texting with about my repair and on Friday I contacted him for an update and he said he no longer works for Rivian. Maybe morale is low.
Burbank always seems to have open slots, but VN not so much. I was able to change my appt to VN next Thursday since dropping it off at Burbank tomorrow means it'll probably sit untouched until 12/1 anyway.
ES is 2 minutes from my office, but they seem to be the busiest of the three.
Hoping...
TLDR my 2023 QM AT R1S has been pretty problem free, but last few times I went to Burbank SC, I left with more issues than I arrived with.
Starting about 2 months ago, my vehicle failed to wake up when I entered the garage. I have locking/unlocking turned off at home, but in the past when I...
You can submit the paperwork yourself to DMV. When I returned my Bolt EUV lease Chevy dealer didn't submit paperwork so I kept getting registration renewal mail.
First time in numerous vehicles I've leased over the years that I had to do it, but it's pretty simple.
