I wonder if all the people who state that in-house system just needs EQ tuning and is as good as Meridian had actually listened to both side by side, in R1T. I friend has an older R1T and I was sold on the Meridian system being good enough. Getting my R1T this year with the in-house system was a...
There are threads on it, I commented in one of those. IIRC, you rotate 45 degrees clockwise before pushing it in, and then rotate counterclockwise to lock it.
Software is a software and even space shuttle system had bugs. The interesting question to Rivian - what is the process of a change rollout and how do they prevent wide spread impact and reduce recovery time (and yes, sorry for the early folks but at least bulk is protected).
I've asked to cancel and refund couple of day earlier, two emails came back on the same day, one confirming the cancelation and another one confirming that cancelation was a great idea :)
Will give lomax a try instead.
I've made my peace with that after trying multiple options. IIRC, rear USBs were the one's that would turn off the earliest, but it was a hassle to have the wire through the cabin and rear console.

Be careful to not pull the mirror off as well, there are good notes about that on a thread and I spent good chunk of time attaching it back.
Have anyone looked at what the experience is with vehicle charging? I've tapped mirror exactly as was described, and it will not power off as long as truck is charging at the same time. It powers off as expected with vehicle not connected to a charger.
So, looks like on my truck mirror is always on as long as truck is charging. This gets my radar to power off on an hour timer and requires to power it up after I stop charging. The question I ponder now - should I remove the poweroff timer and keep radar on as long as truck is charging.
I think I had figured out part of it - it looks like as long as truck charges, the power is on at a mirror and R8 shuts down at an internal hourly timier. Once I unplugged the charger, radar went off within a minute or two. Will have to observe more.
OBD-2 - does not shut down with the trucks shutting down accessories, but it feels like it gets shut down at some point later as detector powers up instantly on a wake up.
Mirror tap - does not shut down, detector goes to sleep and requires power button press on R8 to wake it up after an hour...
