Leased R1S. If this refresh has that many improvements, I doubt the residual is going to hold up. I don't have FOMO to have this now, but 2.5 years down the line and the R1 will be even better than this refresh.
I would take the GMC if it drives better and has better AC for the summer.
How are you getting free charging and still be under 9 hrs total? I thought there were no free DC chargers for Rivian.
In CA, a major road trip (2+ stop) without access to an AC charger overnight at the destination is definitely more expensive than taking a similar sized ICE car.
I'm facing the same decision for July, but my ICE is 14 years old... exchanging luxury/modern tech for convenience and cost.
Tesla might not have a choice. Isn't this gov't funding related too?
They might just be stalling as long as possible to find their way out of it or maybe extract more money out from other manufacturers to increase their revenue a bit.
Yea, at this pace, the free adapter is a myth for most of us. Might as well get a 3rd party if you need to avoid EA in the next year. Just wish they'd get going on testing the other adapters. Rivian and Ford should push for 3rd party verification because it's their customers that are affected by...

I don't think there's much more tucking it can go. .25" seems a little big since when the window closes, it'll squeeze it back up a bit. Squeezes back up on the passenger side more than driver side.
I'll see how much this helps on a long drive this weekend. I still need to do the door frame...
Also, my windows are moving the TrimLok around. Seems like it makes it too tight. I took off the second vertical piece in the side closer to rear and just stopped it at the top corner. Hopefully this works better. I even had the passenger window get stopped due to too much resistance. Sometime...
@ne0phyte , how exactly is the L shaped door frame piece oriented? On both the door side and body side? Seems like I can squeeze it in a few ways but I keep thinking the L part must mean something here…
Couldn't they have gone with one of the other 21" sizes that are more readily available too? Seems like they got a good balance for efficiency with the 21" though, so maybe not that much of a waste
We are well past a Week 15 code complete deadline. In fact, Week 19 ended on May 11th and Week 20 ended on May 18th. edit: corrected to end week on Sat (US localization)
I'd guess the next one is major and has either been scheduled to skip April, or they ran into issues with the new features...
OP, did you ever apply the rubber to the front bottom part of the front door triangle? I’ve seen that fix floating around YT. I’m wondering if that helps at all
