My guess is the asking price was a bit to high with new R1Ts readily available and used prices have worked their way down into the 70s. At that point it’s a viable option to save a decent amount of money when compared to new. I recently bought a used R1T that had everything I wanted and more for...
I recently bought a used R1T and did a lot of looking before I purchased. From what I was able to find, most used R1Ts currently sell between mid-upper 70s, depending on specifics. There are a few that I’ve seen move in the lower 80s as well, but those tend to sit around longer and there is no...
There have been discussions on rather or not a purchased wristband from a LE owner can be tied to a non-LE vehicle. I recently purchased a wristband key from a member on here and wanted to let everyone know what I did to get it associated with my R1T. It was surprisingly easy and quick.
If...
All this makes may hope that we get some sort of Valet mode that prevents the modifying of settings or deleting of files. Heck I would like to see an option that requires a pin to delete any videos at all times. Seems like it would it would be a software fix that code be done via update and help...
Yeah, one other thing to consider is so much of any vehicle these days are electronic that rely on many different systems to playing nice with each other. Certainly not trying to defend Rivian and it may be a complete and utter failure on Rivian’s part, but as more and more is electronic and...
Wow, this certainly sucks and I completely understand how it can put a bad taste in your mouth for Rivian and more broadly EVs. Hopefully it’s a fairly simple fix and you’re back on the road quickly. Keep us up to date on what the fix is moving forward. Hopefully you can get past this and the...
Interesting stuff. When you do a patent search you see some other things as well, such as a roof step and tailgate step. Wonder how many of things will be put into production and how many can be retrofitted onto existing vehicles.
More than likely you wouldn’t have any issues. All I was doing is stating it’s something I probably wouldn’t do if I were in you position. If you are comfortable with, then send it.
I know I’ve used tools and vehicles that go beyond their rated usage and luckily haven’t had a catastrophic failure of something that would hurt to replace. Only you can decided if the increased risk/liability is worth it.
I just got my R1T and for me the risk/liability wouldn’t be worth it...
Hopefully it’ll get sorted out quickly and you’ll get everything installed. Waiting for them to get shipped, FedEx losing them, and now this…..I would be super annoyed!
From what I gather they should be in the hardware bag. There was a period where the hardware package didn’t include the bits. People have either contacted EV Sportline and got the bits shipped or picked them up from a local Napa and I believe have gotten reimbursement for the cost.
I would think they would have to prove the running boards were a contributing factor. I could possibly see charging to remove and reinstall the running boards if necessary to perform a warranty repair.
The whole thing with the CT preorders and $100 deposit is this was done at a low enough number to increase the preorder numbers. I would guess the vast majority of these preorders won’t complete a purchase. One way to think about it is the richest man in the world has 3 million people loaning...
I’m debating between the running boards and the sliders. I know cutting holes in the panels isn’t a big deal and doesn’t harm anything, but I also cringe at the thought of cutting holes in my new truck. I don’t need the sliders, but I like the idea of basically removing the plastic panels and...
