I may be wrong, but when you pick up the car it will be registered in your name and taxes paid. When the buyer picks up the car and the title is transferred, would they then have to pay TVAT when they go register the vehicle? If so, sounds like they would potentially be looking at what you paid...
Yikes! For comparison here is mine from enrollment before the fee structure change. At the new rate it would be about $24 before taxes, basically a 600% increase.
Did you go with the 1EV wheels? I’m looking at switching out my 22s for a set. Assuming you went with a different center cap? Also, do you know if the logo on the 1EV center cap can be removed?
Looks like EA hasn’t updated yet. $0.56/kWh on peak is high. If you rolled in at 0 and wanted to charge to full you would be looking at about $70! I also like how it’s every day when in reality utilities typically don’t charge peak on weekends and holidays.
I wouldn't worry about it. A July build is fairly recent and more than likely is just a result of someone not being able to follow through with the purchase. At traditional brick and mortar dealers, cars are damaged all the time through transit and are repaired and sold without any thought. I...
Does Rivian use a 3rd party processor for registrations? If so, sounds like the 3rd party processor has a requirement that they are trying to follow. This may be some obscure state requirement that the dealership lobby has gotten through to make it as difficult as possible for direct to consumer...
That’s my guess. There have been some reports of Rivian not updating the tire settings for aftermarket wheels and this is a way to not have to worry about it.
From the EV Sportline product page (pretty sure it’s supposed to be 275, not 276):
Recommended Factory Tire Size: 275/65/20. Select 276/60/20 if your Rivian came equipped with 22" wheels
@EV Sportline, I noticed for the R800 wheels it’s listed that those that are coming from 22” wheels need to order a different tire size. Just curious what the reason for that is? Also, you don’t happen to have any photos of the bronze wheels on a canyon red, do you?
Cool, I think this is somewhat tied to the forthcoming 2023.34.00 vehicle update that makes mention of this. Hopefully that means we’ll see the 2023.34.00 update soon
I saw where someone put on a set of Continental Terrain Contact A/T tires for a more aggressive look and they reported no major impacts to range. I looked those up and they look like the specs meet the OEM tires, except for speed rating (T vs H).
Obviously no one is taking their R1 out on the...
I purchased a used R1T through a dealer. What I did was chat with Rivian support through the website and let them know I purchased a used R1T and needed to get in contact with the guide to get ownership transferred. Gave them the VIN and they gave me the contact information for the guide...
Go to Rivian’s website and configure a R1T, at the end there will be a link to the shop, select a R1T, down towards the bottom there is a blurb about it being compatible with tonneau covers, click on that and the window pops up talking about gear shop availability.
Found something interesting in the R1T shop that is now accessible to all. For the R1Ts there is a section that says it’s compatible with both the manual and power tonneau cover. Looking at the details it says manual cover will be available in gear shop later this year and power will be...
Yikes, if this is a widespread issue and not isolated to a certain batch, this isn’t good. Hopefully it will be made right.
Those that have surface rust, how are the brackets holding up underneath?
