  6. R2 buyers - will you wait for gen 3 hardware (including LiDAR)?

    Waiting for Lidar seems reasonable. However Eyes Off and Level 4 autonomy is still 3-4 years away. By then, there will be Gen 4 Hardware. Having Lidar on R2 at this stage seems to be more beneficial for Rivian for data collection.

    The SLOW rollout of these adapters is suspicious. I suspect this is intentional on Tesla's part to not upset Tesla customers with being annoyed at sharing the network.

    Indeed they did. Hard to believe the 1.5 year old hardware is already incapable of new features. But it is what it is. I don't think there was any intended misleading, but still disappointing.
