Paint is super subjective obviously, so take this as just my opinion.
I really wanted to like Forest Green since the very beginning, but I've struggled with it for a few reasons:
It's super shiny and reflective, maybe more than any other color. The shiny mirror / polished finish gives me the...
Anyone who has an R1T and skis tried fitting them in the gear tunnel? Would be cool to get a max length measurement of the gear tunnel diagonally.
I currently demo skis when I go, but am looking at buying a pair around 180 cm or 5’10”. The gear tunnel is about 5’4” long, and 20” tall, so I’m...
Are there any DMV Rivian owners/fan clubs or meet ups? I'd definitely be curious to start attending as an excited reservation holder and future owner :)
I too chatted with CS. They're inviting Launch Edition reservation holders first (I'm Adventure) and then they'll invite more folks as they have capacity. So fingers crossed!
Badass pic, and one of my favorite pictures of Rivian Blue yet.
I absolutely love the color when it looks darker. In the sun it looks bright and less deep/robust, and I'm not sure how much of that is true and due to sunlight vs. people's phone cameras aren't great quality. What camera did you...
I'm surprised I'm asking this question, given how much time I've spent reading and watching videos about Rivian. But here goes nothing.
There is a "First Aid" kit in the R1T's right door of the gear tunnel. It seems like it comes standard? I can't find anything on Rivian's website about this...
Most recent models of passenger ICE cars are quiet these days. Meanwhile, I always notice when a hybrid or BEV drives by, and it usually sounds quite loud. I wonder if the decibel regulation is super high, or if manufacturers are going above and beyond requirements.
I've had the thought watching videos that it sounds like the Rivian pedestrian noise seems really loud compared to Teslas. But it's hard to tell through videos. If I was an auto manufacturer, I'd implement the quietest possible noise to meet the NHTSA requirements.
I'm back on board. This is a really positive step to regain trust. Like RJ said, trust is built over years but can be lost in a single day, so this is not the end of the road by any means. But for now, I do feel RJ and Rivian deserve recognition for their own recognition here. Props and thank...
- Awesome video, production quality, scenery and audio
- 95% of the time I'll be in All Purpose or Conserve, but still awesome to see capabilities
- Excited about Rivian Blue :)
Why not, I'll rant on this. I paid $8k for FSD so might as well get something of value out of it (sarcasm as foreshadowing for what's to come).
Positives
It's cool to have a front row seat for a major technological advancement in humankind.
Even for all the faults, of which there are many...
My two cents: buy or don't buy the off-road package purely based on your own needs.
Rivians, and EV trucks/SUVs in general, will be in such limited supply for years, the options will not make a difference in terms of making it more desirable or sellable on the used market.
I thought it'd be fun to get discussion going around camping / off roading destinations in close proximity to the DMV area.
There's plenty o hiking spots and parking lots with car camping. I'm curious where folks are thinking of taking their R1's off the beaten path. For me, I'm excited to...
My post was probably confusing. To clarify, the email is not explicit about Max/Explore holders from 2020/2021, and whether or not their changing their orders to Adventure+Lg today would move them up. It only mentions that being an opportunity for 2018/19 reservations.
