Has Rivian stated that punctures through the battery pack will be covered under warranty? I have read several stories of this on Tesla forums and Tesla does not cover it under warranty. The owners have had to file insurance claims to cover the replacement.
iOS currently has about 57% of the total U.S. market. Also, the share of iPhone users increases as you increase household income. Considering these are luxury vehicles, I would expect iOS to be more popular than Android.
This quote from their VP of Engineering is not exactly reassuring that it's anywhere close. I may be in the minority because I think the Cybertruck is awesome, but for now it has a lot of "too good to be true" specs when you add them all up.
My guess is this CS rep stated 300+ miles because that's what the website says. The chat reps will probably hear about the EPA number the same time we do.
Looks like another company put together a nice rendering and will now hope to hit the investor lottery. I can't take any automotive startup seriously until they announce their first billion in funds raised. See the Atlis Truck frauds.
Tesla just had a live streamed delivery event for the recent Model S refresh. It was quite underwhelming but it did generate a lot of hype.
I'd love to see Rivian do the same. Unfortunately it just doesn't seem like their style.
Do you think they will? Should they?
I don’t consider supercruise an autopilot system yet. supercruise is limited to pre-approved interstates. And you need to subscribe to their onstar service for it to work on the 2021 Escalade. I really hope rivian doesn’t take this same approach.
this is news to me. I recently bought a 2021 suburban and none of the American automakers had those functions on their flagship SUV’s. They have adapative cruise control and my buddies new Kia has very nice lane keep assist, but I haven’t seen something that I would trust for hundreds of miles...
FSD might be a fraud but the highway autopilot stuff is amazing. 4 plus hour road trips are a breeze. My Tesla is AP1 which was launched pretty early in the Model S lifespan. If Rivian can just start by matching the Tesla AP1 capabilities then I think that will be a huge win. That would already...
I understand exactly what it’s telling me and how to interpret that data. That doesn’t change the fact that it is consistently wrong. If I start with 200 miles tomorrow morning on the estimator I will never reach 200 miles in normal driving conditions.
I just went and checked my trip odometer...
