I think it was in the other forum I saw someone asking to borrow an R1S and then unofficially confirmed in a reply it was for SEMA. Although I imagine its tough to use a borrowed car for body modifications/accessories
That sounds great for putting the feature on the future roadmap, I'm sure it's on there somewhere. But I don't see this pushing the feature to the front of the list. It simply has no business value at the current moment, and will not effect short-term sales.
Why should Rivian build this? It may be quick from the consumer point of view but it would be far from quick to develop. How do they guarantee it isn't hacked/abused in some way, and how does this benefit them financially to take away from their limited software development workforce?
That's a huge leap from your experience to "Rivian doesn't value our privacy". You bought the vehicle secondhand. I don't run my own company but secondhand purchases would be pretty low priority I would think. The company is trying to deliver to existing order holders, handling aftermarket...
Here's my quick analysis:
On the Rivian height it shows "Max Height" for R1T as 78.2 in and R1S as 77.3 in. Then there is this reddit post which mentions the following:
I'd say your answer is about 72.3" with antenna, 72.6" with crossbars. You are just a bit too high at standard height at...
No I would describe that as an offensive comment, I think you have your offense and defense mixed up. There has not been much defending as much as there has been piling up on you for your complaint.
I don't know what world you live in, but your GLE 350 isn't boxy, nor is it comparable to the...
I don't think anyone is being defensive but you. You are insisting on something that it seems only you care about, and in fact are making statements that this issue would be affecting your ability to drive. Your profile shows you currently have a Volkswagen E-Golf, definitely a big difference in...
Not sure if you actually watched that video or verified the channel but its just a compilation of clips from Rivian's videos plus the pictures from the configurator. The video was also posted 3 months ago but has 130 views, and the channel posts videos like this about 20 times a day.
Its so funny/interesting that posts like this have been popping up so much. Whats crazy is none of these people seem to know much about making a reasonable deal. They don’t think beyond their own desire to have a car and the ironic thing is their very begging here shows that they are the ones...
I didn’t defend anything nor state how I feel about their communication to customers, nor even of their greater communication to public shareholders, but feel free to put words in my mouth.
You seem to be of the kind that gets mad when your exact interpretations of something turns out wrong.
I skimmed through this looking for delivery figures and the closest thing I could find is in this quote:
This very specifically avoids discussion of actual production estimates and only covers "capacity". At least in terms of their communication in this document nothing is changed, their...
This video has been up for 45 minutes and is shooting past 90k views. That TFL video, from 4 weeks ago, where they cried about not getting invited to a highly catered event is sitting at 150k views, MKBHD was given the truck for a full 24 hours with what looks like no Rivian employees around...
I think it's been perfectly reasonable to suggest not financing this vehicle or anything this expensive with my income. If I go through with this, or really any next vehicle I truly want, it will be the first time I am owning a vehicle without totally buying it off, or my parents gifting it to...
