I have a 2023 Quad (Aug 2023 build, vin 18xxx) and there is no suspension noise other than some faint clicking when switching to a different ride height. I don’t even hear it if the sound system is on.
Wow, enjoy your rocketship when it arrives! I have a G1 Quad which is already powerful enough for me to loose my lunch. Can’t imagine what 1000+ HP will feel like….
Though to say how long the EV credit will last and precisely what effects its removal will have on Rivian and EV sales in general. I’m guessing right now Rivian is seeing a boost in sales from buyers looking to take advantage of the EV credit before it’s gone. The lack of any serious incentives...
Congrats on the new truck! Looks awesome….
I wonder at what point they changed the seat stitching? Some Gen 2s have seats stitched like the Gen 1s: https://demovehicles.rivian.com/products/2023-rivian-r1t-139-miles-74-200-copy-7pdsgbba2sn054758?_pos=72&_fid=38cf32ad0&_ss=c
Now they all seem to...
Well, Rivian is advertising a “Lease Offer” on their site:
However, it’s really no offer at all as they’re just bating you with with what is a normally priced, totally stripped down Dual with a Max battery at the same lease rates as everything else (over 8% APR.)
I have a Gen 1 Quad, bought it after the suspension update so I can’t comment on the original issue. However, when driving through the Alaska tunnel in Seattle I do notice some mild porpoising. There’s a long stretch of rhythmic humps that cause the vehicle to oscillate. Nothing terrible, but I...
Very few, if any new Gen 1 Quads left. I saw about four on Rivian Roamer last month. Priced in the $88K-$95K range, but the lease deals were super good at around $700/mo or less.
Still a fair amount of very low mile used Quads around, effectively new demos/or early lease returns.
Well, it’s now December. I think everyone was expecting more aggressive incentives this month. However, the imminent demise of the Ev credit is probably already giving Rivian a large boost in sales. Rivian may calculate that their sales volume is already more than adequate and decline to offer...
Likely just a symptom of the early adoption mentality of Rivian owners who are motivated to have the most up to date tech regardless of cost. I’d totally buy a Gen 2 Tri if I had my retirement accounts fully funded, mortgage paid off, and kids through school. Alas, only about 70% of the way...
for sure, if you care about autonomous driving Gen 2 is worth the extra cost, and as tjrivian pointed out, with the gas/hybrid discount applied to the Gen 2 lease you’re saving only $3600 over the term of the lease for a Gen 1. Still probably worth it if you don’t care about autonomous driving...
These are pretty close in specs:

Almost $200 less per month for the 2024...
looks like you’re not comparing apples to apples. The 2025 has less expensive specs. I’d have to see the full listings, but I can already see the 2024 has the $2K Ocean Coast interior and the $2K Sport Bright Wheels. The 2024 will also have the Elevation Audio which is another $1750 as well as...
If you look at equivalent Gen 2 vehicles, the monthly payments are $200 to $300 lower on the Gen 1, saving you $7-10K over the life of the lease. APR is 5%, the Gen 2s are more like 7-8%
Wow, massive dump of 2024 Dual Max/Large/Standards with great lease deals:

I count 9 2024 Duals, all available...
Here’s a detailed breakdown of the lease buyout:
About $6K in savings vs purchasing normally, although he didn’t pay the destination fee for the lease. Not sure why, but I think most people would have to pay the $1800 destination fee either way so more like around $4K savings.
