thanks….i’ll spend a little time analyzing those shots. I may be able to determine if there are some Gen 2 suspension mods already in late Gen 1s.

any chance you could snap a few shots of the suspension on your Gen 2 Tri, front and back wheels? That may elucidate some of the differences.

The suspension on my late model Gen 1 Quad is already pretty quiet. When I hit big potholes there’s maybe a little suspension noise, but seems like that happens in even the best cars if the pothole is deep enough. So as you said, they probably already started including some of the Gen 2...

I’d take it. Rivian offered me $68K in trade for a 2023 Quad with 1k mi.

how did you end up with the updated air springs? Was this a warranty repair or did you source them yourself?

I think most manufacturers start selling next years model as early as summer of the current year so nothing unusual about that.

After looking around the web a bit, it’s clear that the damper on my car is the original Monroe unit https://www.ebay.com/itm/395167289425 it seems that Rivian is still using Monroe dampers, but they’ve been modified for the R1S, at least for the rear. Spring rates also changed on Gen 2...

My Aug 2023 R1S has passenger side wind noise above 40mph. It’s the worst right after closing the passenger window. Seems to settle in and self correct after 20min but never completely goes away. I put in a ticket for it, we’ll see if they can fix it in March!
