Hi Everyone! I took delivery on Tuesday so I'm a whole 3-days into my first EV ownership experience and I have a question about best battery practice. I charge to 70% as recommended and even though I'm averaging about 15% usage each day, I'm charging every evening. Should I be doing this? Or...
Aha! That is EXACTLY what was happening. I was showing off the R1T to friends and then the frunk wouldn’t close. It was thiiiiiiis close to embarrassing.
Pressing the button (fob or grill) sees it *ALMOST* close and then pop back up like there's an obstruction but there's not. If I grab the frunk lid and close it manually all is well.
The good news: I took delivery of my new R1T in Atlanta today and drove it back to the Asheville, NC, area averaging 2.45 mi/KWh without trying too hard to maximize economy. I was demonstrating its features and had something weird happen with the frunk: while it opened automatically as it...
In my experience, my vehicle was *scheduled* for delivery within a week. Due to scheduling issues, I am scheduled to visit the SC in ATL on Tuesday to take physical possession of my truck. Fingers crossed that all will go well.
My delivery date assignment came less than a week after the VIN number was assigned. I could pick it up in ATL on 8/9 or wait for delivery on 8/19 so I'm going to the SC in ATL for pick up. I'm completely in the dark as to when and how the wall charger gets sent. I sent a message to both the...
Besides getting the electrician to do the install in a timely manner, my little town doesn't have a fast DC charger. I'll have to drive to Asheville NC or Greenville SC for a DC charger. I'm pretty sure 120v plug won't do it.
Good news: I'm taking delivery of my truck on Tuesday, 8/9, at the Atlanta SC. VIN 88XX and several months earlier than estimated.
Bad news: the genuine Rivian wall charger that I paid for has not even been sent yet. Looks like I'm going to have a nice EV without an L2 charge point.
