My experience=called Saturday; on hold for 17 minutes; scheduled mobile service for Monday (today); tech arrived at 8:30, torqued both nuts from 55 to 90 in 5 minutes; tech drove off to next stop.
Here's my rule of thumb: you can drive a little slower, get there a little later, and spend less time at the charging stop. *OR* you can drive faster, get there faster, and spend longer charging - unless your speed will require an extra stop when your mi/KWh drops below 2. it's really a wash...
Personal experience: the Williamsburg, KY, EA charge site is very popular due to spacing on the N/S I-75 corridor. Charger #2 is broken, and I have to wait for an open charger *EVERY TIME I STOP*. I call EA every time and ask them to reboot #2 and they say that they can't because maintenance is...
My early Santa wish list in no particular order:
1) Current time and temp displayed bottom center of driver screen;
2) A sunscreen something for the sun roof because the glass is really, REALLY hot in the full sun;
3) Running boards to assist in entry and exit;
4) The seat edge pleather holds...
Current EV battery capacity reminds me of a maxed out 286 computer. Soon, technology will produce a denser energy, less expensive, faster charging battery and then we'll look back at 2022 technology like a 386 computer looked back at the Intel 286 technology.
If the 135kWh pack is pushing the charging envelope @ 400v ... wouldn't it be prudent to increase to the 800v platform before adding more kWh to the battery? Early reports on the Hummer EV talk about very long charge sessions even on the 800v platform. Seems like if the glass is made larger, the...
At this time, my frunk lid NEVER closes automatically - it closes and then bounces back up. I’ve given up and just grab the lid and close it manually.
I attempted to strike up a conversation with him but he just ignored me so I went about my business. The 150 was working so I plugged in and we walked across the street to Bojangles and ate lunch. 35 minutes later we walked back and the R1T was charged up and ready to do so off we went.
I can...
Posted is the travel log for taking our granddaughter to college in Lynchburg, VA, from NC. Besides over the road travel at Limit+5 or so, lots of local errands and short trips. Stopped at Wytheville on I-81 both ways not 72 hours apart. On the way up, all EA chargers were working and we gulped...
You can set the bar wherever you wish and perhaps that caveat could have been set when the poll was published. All I know is that there were no issues that I could see when I picked the truck up and I’m not noticing any issues after a week of daily driving. Please feel free to disreagard any...
Perhaps I’m not that picky but (knock on wood) I’ve not experienced any issues thus far in my one week of possession. Oh … well … I DID need to reboot the nav screen once.
