This happened to me when Vivian (the R1S was new. About 3 times. The instant fix is a quick infotainment reset- press down on left and right farthest outter steering wheel buttons for about 15 seconds and it resets. I don’t necessarily mind no Alexa BUT that also cuts off the navigation voice...

Totally understand. I liked the ride on the test drive and it hasn’t changed. Sure, sometimes I feel it could be smoother, and for sure there is some more wind noise than I prefer at higher speed, but I view all of that as getting what I bargained for without any surprises. Everytime I think of...
Just this week was pretty deep in some Miami areas. No issues whatsoever-G1 R1S QM performed like a champ. Saw lots of stranded Tesla’s and lots of cars in general being towed.
My opinion sees it quite different than any downgrades. I tested the 24 G1 R1S QM, loved it and thought the lease offer was remarkable-so I selected it. Now, they have made some non-updatable features on a new model which definitely costs more. Personally, I feel grateful to get any OTA upgrades...
I received an A2Z adapter on May 5 and drove cross country. The charging options are dramatically different although those Tesla chargers get crowded. It’s night and day for peace of mind with the adapter. My advice FWIW is for anyone driving any distance buy the A2Z charger and don’t look...
I’m slightly confused. When reading about the updated “turn signal indicators “ I’m not sure if that references the green arrows on the drivers screen OR the rear lights? A search of turn signal indicators reveals the rear lights visible to others. I can’t determine which thus update addresses?
I’ve had many many cars over 45 years; this is the first vehicle that actually gets better with these OTA adjustments. Most legacy carmakers simply sell and say “get a new one” when they issue a new model year. This is quite impressive to me.
These sounds like perfectly valid reasons to lease at those favorable rates. I think the residuals on the leases is high-but better minds than mine have calculated that % to the penny.
My 24 R1S delivered 3/26 (VIN 38,8xx)had the wind noise from the passenger door but as soon as it rained water dripped in. They accepted the car to the SC pretty quickly and I expect they will fix it. In the interim I’ve purchased a new horn and found a car stereo store to install not far from...
The water and the wind noise come from the top of the front passenger window-seems like there’s a gap. I use the other car when it rains now until May 10. We dry it as soon as it happens-so nothing pools up.
thanks, but I don’t have a local mechanic. I’ve had cars on warranties for quite some...
Hi All!!
Thanks for everyone’s insightful comments, all very useful.
I’ve received my RS1 Quad without issue and drove 800+ miles-no significant drama. I’ve even used the Tesla built in converter supercharger without incident. Slightly cheaper than those awful EA chargers.
I have a wind...
