So the left side of the center console arm rest has started creaking when I put my arm on it. If I open the console, I can lightly flex the left side flip up portion and hear the creak. The right side is completely quiet and sturdy.
Is there such a thing as ordering a replacement arm rest...
Dang I think this is it. Whenever I pull into the garage or my parking spot at work I turn on the camera manually, and don't turn it off (I just assumed it turned off when I powered down the truck). So it makes sense when I get back into the car even though it's on the main "drive setting"...
So both my former R1T, and my current R1S have the same issue: When i reverse out of the garage/parking spot, and then drive away, the camera screen stays stuck on. When my partner drives the truck it doesn't do this, and Rivian couldn't duplicate the issue on a diagnostic drive. It seems it...
I'm using the Rivian wall charger. Looks like it dropped to 7-8kw in the late afternoon, during the hottest part of the day. It wasn't charging for very long, I'd just got home and plugged it in shortly before that.
I took delivery of this R1T in June 2022, and it now has approx 11,300 miles. It's been an absolute pleasure to own. It's in excellent condition, it's never been in any accidents, it has no dents/dings/wheel rash or damage of any kind. The interior is also spotless.
I had a service...
I saw charging speed dropped from 11kw to 8kw and went out to the garage to see what was going on. I see this message on the charging screen. Anyone know why this might be happening?
I'm in the same spot, I've decided to keep the R1S and sell the R1T. I've got 12k miles on mine, and from what I see a trade in offer of $73k is pretty reasonable.
My guide was a really cool guy, and tried to be very helpful. But I get the idea they are extremely overworked. So it may not have anything to do with the actual vehicle.
I'm in the same boat as you, I've had the R1T for over a year, and picked up the R1S last month. I thought I'd drive...
Up until this point the service experience has been a major disappointment. I've had my R1T for a year now, and I've had a couple issues that have gone unresolved for almost the entire time. Appointments, both service center and mobile were cancelled by Rivian. Finally got in for service, and...
They just did something like this to my R1T, the "half shafts" or something like that. I lived with it in the R1T for a year, so I guess I can live with it in the R1S until it needs to go into service for some other issue. Thanks for the info.
Has anyone experienced a clicking/popping sound on their R1S, coming from under the truck? It's audible at low speeds, and also at standstill.
My R1T has a similar sound, but only when first taking off, never at a standstill.
I took delivery of the R1S this weekend, and I'm really enjoying the truck. Thought I'd post my timeline:
9/21 Pre-order
5/16/23 Granted shop access
5/24/23 Confirmed a R1S in the shop
6/5/23 Notified the truck was available for pickup
6/10/23 Picked up the truck at the San Jose service center...
I took delivery of my R1T back in June, so I already have a guide assigned to me. I'm guessing that's what helped. I didn't even know I could request shop access until I saw this thread.
