- I don't think he mentions that at all - at what time did he mention that?
- There is no reason to believe the phantom drain can not be solved with a software update, unless you have some further information as to why. Blaming it on "big processr architecture" is nonsense - I can shut my...
The delivery window estimate in your Account has been temporarily set to “Processing new estimate” as we finalize plans for when we’ll have a Service Center in your area. We plan to update your Account with a delivery window in January 2023.
Not surprised but still disappointed
What I don't understand then is how Hyundai is able to deliver 3600W of V2L right out of their CCS port .
The little dongle they ship certainly does not contain a 240V inverter on it. The inverter has to be in the vehicle, and outputting it over CCS.
That requires hardware IN the vehicle to...
*It doesn't have to* require expensive adapters. The F150 with Pro Power (including ICE models NOT just the lightning) can deliver 9.6KW right out of the 240V outlet in the truck there are NO adapters needed. I could plug my generator panel in my house right into the thing in an outage and get...
I love how everyone in this thread claims it is a niche capability and engineering challenge, when the reality is Ford has had ProPower on board (9.6KW) available for 3 years now - it is not just on their Lightning, it is also on their ICE vehicles. It's just a matter of having a big inverter...
I agree, this is the likely scenario. But the real frustration is lack of an y communication on any of this.
I emailed Rivian 6 days ago asking for an update and still have no response.
If I don't get a response by Friday I am cancelling, tired of frustration and waiting. I need a vehicle and...
OK interesting.
My Ford dealer offered for me to come in this week and put in a firm order for 2023 model year delivery as they have sold out of their 2022 allocation but I am now #1 on their list. He would not commit to a time range but it would probably be early 2023. I need to decide if I am...
Again, there is no requirement for this.
Prop open the hood of your ICE vehicle (don't fully latch) and see if it governs the engine.
It won't even warn you.
There is no safety requirement here, they invented this check.
If you look at how Tesla does this, it pops up a warning that...
That's quite frankly ridiculous.
Imagine if your hood or trunk thinking it was unlatched disengaged or speed goverend your ICE engine. There's a reason there is no regulatory requirement for that. Rivian is trying to be far too smart here.
Are you saying that the hood being unlatched prevents you from driving the vehicle? If so that's a major design weakness. There are all kinds of reasons you may want to do that in a utility vehicle. It should just warn you with a confirmation prompt or short chime, not stop driving entirely.
Agree if this happened to any other truck that a body shop would pull that dent and repair it easily. The hardest part of the repair would be just matching the paint job.
Yeah, unfortunately when they announced launch edition, I opted out because I did not like the color. Then later changed my mind, but it was full, so I am no longer launch edition.
That said they no longer seem to be prioritizing launch edition anyway. Like I said, I got a 2022 date even though...
I do not know my projected delivery so unsure how to answer the survey.
Originally early this year I had a projected delivery of late Q3, sent via email. However updates have been sparse and my delivery window still does not show anywhere on the website or configurator that I can find, so I no...
I wonder how many people on this thread actually have a lot of experience charging wirelessly at all...
- A 15W Qi charger does not actually deliver 15W in the real world. 15W is the ideal, perfect scenario. Camera bumps, cases, and the rubber mat itself all combine to make the wattage...
The logistics of how this could happen in my mind are pretty simple due to the current supply chain crunch and delivery logistics.
Rivian very likely is grouping fulfillment by city. It is not logistically feasible to go by absolute order of the list. Rather it is more likely something like...
