yes, I suppose it is a bit explained by the colder weather here in the SF bay area right now, but it is not exactly freezing by any stretch of the imagination.
I take the noise reduction (which is truly phenomenal) and the slightly better ride feel.
if the efficiency is 3-5% better once worn...
Just replaced my 20k miles stock ATs with the Michelins.
Measured 72db on a stretch of highway at 70 mph with the loud rubber. With the new, it’s 63db on the same stretch, same day, same speed.
Night and day! Didn’t even notice the wind noise before.
Thanks a lot.
in case you are so inclined, it would be neat to know if full power is drawn at medium suspension height and moderate and/or soft damping.
Maybe I can play with this myself, but if you are doing pulls anyways…
Thank you!!
I’m really intrigued now. If it’s not too much work, mind sharing a couple of waypoints where you slept? I’m going to repeat this with my 4-year old.
Cheers.
I’ll give you another data point. I don’t recommend the r1s, purely because the service center experience is so bad. It is really unbelievable how abysmal my experience is every single time.
Don’t buy a Rivian unless they got a grip on their service infra at that point.
They told me once to put it into lowest suspension and service mode for a trip like that. I called them with concerns about 2-3% drains per day. Anyway, deep draining the battery and leaving it like that for a relatively long time will probably degrade overall battery life. Also 10% per day is...
Thank you for the tip.
Unfortunately, I don’t know how to be loud. I try to be overly nice and understanding with people working in service. The thing I dislike most about someone is a sense of entitlement.
Do you have any suggestions what I could do/say?
Don’t recommend owning a Rivian. Might have been said before, but the service (for repairs) is so incredibly bad it just isn’t worth it. My Rivian is in service for a suspension issue for over a month now (sSF center). They didn’t even touch it for the first two weeks it was there.
Thank you.
I suspect it is because the car tried to download the update at least three times. Done a few resets etc.
Or it is just a freaking coincidence. Anyway. Service is on it and told me to hard reset it if I wanted to go out of turtle mode.
My update doesn’t go through. Called service, they said they cannot do anything over the air. First available service appointment: December 23rd!
(south SF)
That’d be my free three months of data right there.
edit:
Is there a way to check other service centers for availability? Did anyone...
I’m not sure what it is called. They tried pushing it a bunch of times and I had to do soft resets. Do you have info on that specific one? Is there anything that I can do? (i.e. hard reset?)
apparently the car downloads all the data but is unable to install it. I don’t even see a prompt.
which center? I have to schedule an appointment at the SF center tomorrow. Some comms module prevents updating the vehicle software.
I let you know about the wait times.
