I'm hoping taking noise measurements is unnecessary. Rivian knows the issue and acknowledges the vehicle is ridiculously loud. I would be happy to start taking readings if they want to employ me as a part-time engineer. :)
That is a difficult decision. I would have 100% returned the vehicle and kept my RR Sport if I discovered this issue during my 7-day period. Overall, the R1S is a very nice SUV but not perfect by any measure. I was not expecting perfection from a new company but this is ridiculous.

This issue is getting reported all over hot weather states. I'm assuming it will get worse as summer gets hotter.
I typically keep the AC around 65 with medium fan speed and recirculation off. Outside temperature is the main variable that causes the noise issue. It feels like 90+ is when the problem appears.
They refuse to make any repairs because the vehicle is operating as designed. She said they are looking into the issue but would not provide specifics. It felt like she was very careful with her words.
