@RWerksman I was in no way questioning your pricing/margin rationale. In fact, you're cheaper than the other guy :)
My "overpriced" comment was more based on the items themselves (ie "two tiny bits of plastic") and not so much on the all-in cost for the buyer. I am running an online store on...
PSA: I was about to buy 4 (reducing the odds of me messing up more than 2...) and total w/ shipping came to $18.18.
A pair of similar ones (no cut required) is $14.12 w/shipping here: https://opensourceev.com/products/hitch-cover-thumbscrew-v2-pair
And yes:
1- This is still way overpriced for...
I was getting all excited because I've never been able to get the traditional transponder to work on my Model S...only to realize that it needs to be mounted on the front license plate...and, well, officer, you are correct, I don't have one.
Thank you, I will double-check. We picked up our R1S yesterday so I am still very much in exploratory mode.
Our overall build quality is actually really good, but since our other car is a Tesla, maybe I had low expectations...
I read a ton of threads on the topic but could not find the answer: is there a way to enable/disable Alexa's based on a driver profile? ie I don't care about my privacy and would like Alexa "on" with my driver profile (which is the way I have it set up), but my wife does care about her privacy...
I'm not sure what they're offering today, but the 3.99% we secured is for the duration of the loan, not an intro rate. If I recall correctly, their advertised "best rate" on the site was 4.24% the day we reached out to them to get more details.
I would just call them because the person we dealt...
I am so glad I started this thread...I just secured 3.99% for $70k, 72mo (rate was the same for 60mo) with FedChoice yesterday (11/7).
Process-wise, all I had to do was open a savings account and make a donation to their non-profit arm. The process was smooth overall with no surprises. They...
@shrink
Thanks for the pointer to USSFCU...I am going through the process as we speak and it looks like I will get 5.24% for 60mo. I have PenFed lined up as a back-up, so let's see what happens.
I'm now a proud member of the American Consumer Council of Virginia in order to be eligible...
Let me know if there is an existing thread and I will delete this one.
My numbers (60mo, 800+ credit score):
Rivian: 7.79%
PenFed (the best I could find): 6.09%
PenFed process is very smooth.

Most people want their R1x sooner...but we want ours delayed. Yes, I know.
Our situation:
We have a R1S quad motor + 22" reservation currently showing a December/January delivery timeline and it's now time to lock our config. That sounds great, right?
Well, not for us because we need to make...
Ok, I answered my own question by playing with the configurator: for existing reservation holders, you can still change rims without adding the AT package.
I am going to leave this thread here in case others have the same question though.
I need to lock my config and am debating 20" vs. 22" one last time.
My current config is 22" but when I went to visualize the truck with 20"AT, I am now only able to select those rims if I add the $3,600 AT package first. Is that something new?
Does anyone knows what happens for existing...
That's a great point and got me thinking....does anyone know how early the R1s trigger the brake lights when getting off the juice pedal compared to Teslas?
Teslas are notorious for triggering said lights early, which sometimes annoys (or worse) drivers following you too closely when they...
