I bet Rivian can significantly improve vampire drain. Early on Tesla S were using ~15 miles a day, and they made multiple improvements, eventually there was even an option where you can say don't wake up so much.
I'd like to see pictures in the same lighting conditions of two launch green trucks, with black mountain interior next to forest edge interior. I need to keep searching, but haven't found something like a video where in the same lighting conditions (ie next to each other), someone with a camera...
Ooh, good to know. It makes sense for these much higher capacity vehicles, like the hummer too, but also the rivian, they could benefit from higher on-board chargers.
When I got my first Tesla model S, in early 2013, I was stopped on the freeway in a traffic jam in Seattle, and this guy in an 18 wheeler drives up beside me and yells out "how do you like you Tesla"? Everywhere we parked people would stop and take pictures. It was crazy. Enjoy it while it lasts!
I"m sure some people will drop off and not really get a truck. But since you can sell it for 50% or even more than cost immediately, I'd think it will reduce cancellations. At least until someone buys that first one and can't sell it for more.
Can any current vehicles even go over 11.5 kw (the hcs-60, 48 amp max like the rivian)? My older tesla model S can use the power from a hcs-80, but for the past few years, tesla went down to 48 amps max and I think that is the limit for level 2, home power charging at this time.
I'm May June, in the Seattle area. I have no guide, I'd like delivery est info from Rivian. The assignment to guides seems random at best.
The chat people at Rivian never tell me anything but my delivery range hasn't changed. Today I changed from forest edge to black mountain, hopefully that...
I'm forest edge, I'm tortured about switching to black mountain. I have another issue, launch green exterior, how will that look with black mountain. .
I want to see what Launch Green looks like with the greenish Forest Edge, also want to see LG with the 'grey' black mountain (such a bad initial experience ;-)). I'm skeptical of the OC looking off white enough to not have wear, but I'm scared by Tesla. I had black seats and it was too black...
No, I have no info on FE. I hadn't noticed they were OC people. Of course that suggests that OC will come later than FE. The BM interior is not too dark actually. I liked FE because it was lighter, I had a black interior car that was too dark long ago. I think when I had a test drive it was FE...
I always assumed the LE deliveries would be before later vehicles started, but there are vast numbers of LE people who never were contacted yet, including me, I'm a Nov 2019 LE order. All the ones shipped are apparently 'Black Mountain' interior, I was forest edge, no contact. If I was angling...
I'm in the Seattle area too. About what does ceramic cost you here? I really don't know much about wraps and ceramic, need to bone up and decide if I'm doing it.
Wow, looks great. On car range, on the road there's no doubt that lower speeds are more efficient of course, but maybe there's some efficiency at slightly higher than 10. There are lots of long range tesla max range results going 25 or 35, such as...
I don't disagree with you that a browser can be distracting. The same is also possibly true for that big map you can see. When Tesla started there were plenty of stories of people pulling cars over saying you can't put an ipad there. At least to this point it hasn't seemed to cause a lot of...
A browser hurts nothing (maybe their ui designer will cry), opens up enormous potential for other information sources, and you can do so much with it. Much easier than trying to figure out how to do 'user installed apps', which even tesla has never gotten to.
The killer app Rivian needs to be able to use is served as a webpage - tesla waze https://teslawaze.azurewebsites.net. Think maps, weather, and the waze data all together (traffic, but also user reports of accidents and cops writing tickets).
On original tesla hardware, mcu 1 (not the later...
It's not impossible, but it feels like it would take perfect execution to get there, I think it's unlikely.
I think Rivian will have a long life as a great car company, but I don't see a 15k investment at $40/share paying off a new truck in say 5 years. At $45/share they have a 40 billion...
Wait, all those people who said deliveries to employees were the same as deliveries to "third parties", where are you now on the R1S story ? ;-) I'm just kidding. They obviously aren't the same (not kidding now, probably).
