  1. Motortrend reviews new 2025 R1T Quad Max. $111,700 est price -- "So, It’s Fast. But There’s Way More Here."

Still can't stand how motortrend conducts and discloses the range testing results.
  2. Under-seat front cubby gone from new builds

I would be more upset that I didn't have a great location to store my sunglasses. I'm much more in the camp of: this was a very useful feature and I don't think it is worth the squeeze to go and remove it to save on cost for a vehicle that is this expensive.
  3. Best practices for driving in extreme cold

This. You will need to adjust tire pressure on the trip since it sounds like there is going to be a large temp swing during the drive.
  4. Out of Spec Highway Range Test of Gen2 R1T dual Max - Nowhere near EPA

I think that speed difference has more to do with how densely populated the area you live in. All the states I have lived in people typically drive 60-75 mph on the highway.
  5. No more cubbies under armrest in 3rd row. Replaced by cupholders in 2025 R1S Gen2

I remember reading that the change was just for the trucks without the Ascend interior
  6. Amazing Experience - R1T Tri Max

You've got to post more pictures! Don't tease us with the banner!
  7. Absolutely sick of Alexa's god-awful navigation

I don't think Alexa does the routing. I do have issues with Alexa actually finding the correct location. If there are multiple locations for a place it almost never locates the closest one.
  8. Official: Scout EV SUV & Pickup debut w/ Gas Range Extender EREV, 4x4, BOF, Lockers, Sway Bar Disconnect -- All Specs, Wallpapers, Videos

To each their own. To me, the biggest draw of the R1 line is that it is the closest I have experienced to the "every vehicle". I don't have enough garage space for another car so a vehicle that can go almost anywhere off-road, can move toys, is comfortable on rough forest roads and is fun around...
  9. Official: Scout EV SUV & Pickup debut w/ Gas Range Extender EREV, 4x4, BOF, Lockers, Sway Bar Disconnect -- All Specs, Wallpapers, Videos

I saw that. It almost looked like the motor was in line, or maybe just a really bumpy differential. I also wouldn't take anything under the skin as gospel yet with how much headway they have left.
  10. Official: Scout EV SUV & Pickup debut w/ Gas Range Extender EREV, 4x4, BOF, Lockers, Sway Bar Disconnect -- All Specs, Wallpapers, Videos

You pay for it in handling. I've ridden in those and while they are soft and impressive it's not the same as a similar caliber independant suspension. The major differences being increased unsprung mass with a live axle and heavy side to side motion transfer when going over bumps that only...
  11. Apple vs. Tidal comparison review -- and Atmos

I'm surprised to hear about the negative reviews here. Maybe it is my limited sample size so far, but the songs that I have listened to with Apple Music Atmos in the Rivian have been incredible. Rocketman and the entire Rumor album was a joy to experience.
  12. 2024.27 Software Update Gets Apple Music, Audible, Power Outlet Improvements

I'm not sure what cheap t-mobile plan you are referring to. The "Essentials" T-Mobile plan only provides 3G speeds for tethering per their website.
  13. 2024.27 Software Update Gets Apple Music, Audible, Power Outlet Improvements

Most carriers limit tethering speeds to well below LTE. If you wanted to work off a laptop in the truck, connecting to the truck hotspot would be much faster.
  14. Storing your roof top tent RTT with garage ceiling hoist

The trusses need to be designed to at least hold a person's weight otherwise you wouldn't be able to finish the house. I had the same trusses in my last house. As long as you hit the middle of the stud and get at least 4 points of contact you will be fine.
  15. Storing your roof top tent RTT with garage ceiling hoist

I would be pretty surprised if it couldn't support 200 lbs properly distributed. What kind of truss do you have?
  16. Estimated Range Drop After Last Software Update

Maybe it is actually taking into account driving history now. Mine never has budged from the default estimates.
  17. Camping with my custom pullout camp kitchen!

Really cool design. Do you have an equally cool solution for the pots and pans?
