Eek - I have not yet done enough concert damage to my ears and can still hear pretty high pitched stuff. Drives me nuts, and it's just me and the dog who understand. My G1 only had a whine when I was really on the accelerator. Otherwise, it was just loud in general but not painful.

Have never heard this at those speeds. My G2 R1S had a weird, almost unbearable squeal when it was warm and at about 65mph under reasonable load (minor headwind, etc). My G2 R1T is pretty quiet under all loads and conditions.
