Does anyone care to guess what the production capacity is for the EDV? If Rivian does 10,000 EDV's for Amazon in 2024, how many more might be available to other commercial/fleet customers?
I'd guess that since the EDV is super basic as compared to the R1, production should easily match the...
The smaller truck has its benefits for sure, but we quickly run out of room on road trips. Two car seats, a wife, and a dog make that cabin start to feel really cramped. For day-to-day it's the perfect size.
I'm all about that EV life now, so no hybrid for me.
The hybrid will outsell the Ram EV 20-1. Most of the saving benefits of EV with the ability to bypass public DC faster chargers AND the ability to tow.
Ram has got the right idea bringing the masses into EV’s. Fantastic selection of powertrains. I owned a 2022 Ram TRX for about a year prior to my R1T showing up. I can say that the interiors and general fit and finish was excellent. I loved it. Very well made truck and nothing like the...
In about 1.5 hours I got my black/yellow accent badges installed. Aside from removing the glue/tape from the original badges this was a breeze. I used some adhesive remover supplied by AO and their plastic scraping tool. Just about 10-15 mins of determination to get the old adhesive off In...
Another way to think about it…Rivian allows for a 50-100% charge. Why 50%? For what reason would you ever charge to anything below 70%?
If there is no good reason to charge below 70% then why would they give us that ability too?
Is it better, worse, or irrelevant to charge to 50% daily vs 70%? I only use approximately 10% of my battery daily. Sometimes I’ll use 20-30%. I still daily charge to 50% at home. I’ll charge more if I need it ahead of a trip.
Pertaining to battery health long term is there any benefit to...
I would really like to see the truck unlock much quicker when pressing park. Feels like I’m waiting an etirinity for it to unlock sometimes. Every other truck I’ve had unlocks instantly when selecting park.
Yes, it is in fact a TP55, not a T55. A TP55 is included so no need to buy one. I didn’t know that until I opened my hardware bag. A T55 works just fine, but a TP55 will induce less wear on the bolt and less likely to slip as windblow indicated.
The top is a T55, the bottom is a TP55...
I don’t know the difference between the two. It was a tight fit to the bolt. I just went to Harbor Freight and got a T-55 and a T-20. I didn’t need the T-20 with the 4” hole saw install.
Also, what’s the point of those 4 T-55 bolts anyway? What do they secure?
I believe this is normal for everyone. I have the black 22’s. It would be super cool to have the app show the Rivian’s specific wheel package. Maybe make the 4 wheel combinations selectable in the app?
That wouldn’t be a very difficult improvement to include on a future update. For what...
I received mine on Monday. Huge box. Heavy too. I didn’t receive shipping notification, but it may have ended up in my junk folder. I knew they were coming soon since I inquired with EV Sportline. I ordered the day they were available for sale.
Finally got around to installing them this...
Off topic here, but had a question about the ABRP efficiency number. When it asks for mi/kWh @ 65 mph does it need the number that I usually get on the highway. I drive 75-80mph and usually see 1.5 - 1.65 mi/KWh when it’s as cold as it is. Or do I need to figure out and input what the Rivian...
I love the bolted design much more. Much cleaner design. Miles better than the welded version fwiw. These looks fantastic and keep with the original clearence and aero. I can see one additional bonus to aero in that in keeping the plastic shields on will help protect the frame and fasteners...
