These Element extinguishers (see link above) are another option that is easier to stow in a vehicle. In my R1T, I keep an Element stick under the rear seat.... and an extinguisher on the head wall of the truck bed.
Re: the Thundebolt Camp Kitchen, what is your user feedback on the sturdiness, durability, interference, etc., of the piano hinge that runs the center length of the countertop. From pics, it seems like it could be a weak link in the folding/unfolding of the unit... and certainly detracts from...
My Rivian mobile tech refused to jack my R1T from the sliders due to liability... it's still a crap shoot what type of response you get from Rivian depending on who you talk to...
I'm surprised that Rivian hasn't offered (or been forced) to refund the value of the PTC for those buyers that have never had a working cover for more than 12 mos.
Rivian mobile tech would not jack my R1T due to rock sliders and running board. Cited liability reasons... I could have paid him to remove them but then I would have to re-install them myself (I refused that option).
another data point: I'm at 23K miles (after about 23 months) on the 20" AT and I'm a solid 7/32 all the way around... performed two 4-tire rotations during that stretch. I'm leaning towards the Toyo for a replacement but will probably wait until the end of the year.
I grew up drinking water from a garden hose, sitting in automobile seats without seat belts, and riding around town in the back of a pickup truck... and now we're talking about Faraday blankets in our vehicles?
What's your report on the Grapplers? Can you share efficiency (relative to your OEM tire) and noise? I was looking at those but a co-worker has them on his Tundra and complains about the noise just like I complain about the Pirellis..
While not many miles in your initial sample size, that is an encouraging report! I was expecting a decrease in efficiency in the 7-10% range relative to the OEM Pirelli A/T. If the Falken eliminates the 40MPH drone from my Pirelli then I'm all in...
I just had the 22.5K service call performed via mobile tech. The entire process seemed to just be a courtesy inspection - except they charged me $200 for it. Not a great value.
Those look great... congrats on just pulling the trigger. I'm almost there myself. I would like to see the approximate range hit... the monthly elec bill doesn't bother me but I'd like to see how it impacts my max range while traveling. Well done!
Kuat Piston Pro has a 67-lb per tray capacity... has add-ons to the base rack for either a 3 or 4 bike configuration. I have the base 2-tray setup on my R1T but added the pivot swing for better bumper and tailgate clearance. These are not inexpensive but best hitch bike racks I've found.
I recently had Rivian mobile tech at my home for the 22,500 mile service... part of his multi-point inspection was to inspect and clean the pins on the Rivian portable charger (not the wall charger). He said my VIN range (12XXX) included some portable chargers that showed signs of deterioration...
I applaud your ingenuity but question the applicability... it seems similarly over-engineered as my A/C vents so maybe it fits the Rivian perfectly.
Seriously, the multiple gear tunnel slides and storage bins appear much more functional with regards to more room, quicker deployment, and simpler...
