Am I the only person that is surprised by the number of people that had to move their gun safe to fit their truck in the garage? Is the garage a common place in the US to store your guns?
I am extremely flexible on my configuration. If I had shop access I would just constantly refresh the screen until an R1S popped up. Hopefully the service center in Toronto opens up this year.
It looks like its in a good spot too. Very close to the Tesla service center in Vaughan. I am surprised that they dont show anything in Quebec though. They must be working form West to East instead of by market size.
Looks awesome, that is my exact configuration. I keep switching between the 21" and 20" wheels. But every time I see the 20" I want them more. There are also more tire replacement options available. But I am still a year+ away from delivery so who knows what will be available then.
The sales are higher in Quebec because of their ZEV incentives, but I don't think the Rivian will qualify.
Based on Rivian's early map for service center locations they were only planning three for Canada. One in Vancouver, Calgary, and somewhere around the Ontario/Quebec border. That would...
Tesla's Vaughan service center is much busier and is a more central and accessible location if they want to serve the entire GTA. But Rivian could do really well in Oakville if they can convince some of the soccer moms to trade in their X7, GLS, or Q7.
I agree completely. The original planned service center map only showed one service center between Ontario and Quebec and it wasn't completely clear which side of the border it was on. It would be hard and expensive to service the GTA from there.
It looks like Vancouver, Calgary, and close to...
When I first looked at the picture in your garage I thought the R1T was parked next to a green VW Beetle. It wasn't until I saw the badge that I knew it was a Porsche. Its amazing how much they look alike from certain angles.
It will be interesting to see what their strategy is for Canada. I don't think they will have a rapid build of service centers like they did in the states. It doesn't make sense to have a bunch a buildings that you have to staff and maintain when you can't deliver enough vehicles to keep them...
At least you are getting a service center built in BC. There is no word yet for the rest of the country. My guess is that you will get delivery much earlier than the rest of Canada.
