Personally, I would just swap out the door speakers with something more robust from Crutchfield that would closely bolt right in.
People arguing about the comparison between two vehicles and platforms that have about exactly nothing in common except that they are both electrically powered, ha. One is a first generation truck and the other is basically a sedan from a company with many more years working through production...
I did not read all 8 pages of this, so it was very likely covered somewhere in there, but if you pull the strap tight and then pull it back over the buckle and secure it with the velcro lashing that is there, your straps will not loosen or slip.
I like it, nice work! I concur with your logic for going with the 8-inch and keeping everything hidden, easily convertible back to OEM, and ability to keep all standard storage options. Thanks for sharing.

The aftermarket ones all run a cable to plug in to another port, right? To me, that is poor design integration when there is already power to the OG pad. For now, sticking with the factory one as it seems to always charge my Pixel even if it is sliding all over the place.
Any idea if mobile will do the jounce lines? Mine are not that noisy, seem to have a bit of squeaking at low speeds, but nothing the volume button or accelerator pedal can't solve, so I have not looked to have them done as of yet. Appreciate the info Mike.
In Glenwood and Aspen last weekend, lots of Rivians and no one waves, just a bunch of smug rich folk. In my smaller town, there are only a handful of us, and most all wave.
