True, but the period when a child is too heavy for latch yet still requires 5 point harness is short. You transition quickly to high back booster, when latch becomes useful again to secure the seat and the seat belt location doesnt matter as much.

I have a Linear with their Wifi wall switch. The app is unstable and opened my door with random delays, including at night more than once. I disabled it and would not recommend it.
