  1. Got down to zero range remaining. Is there a “buffer” reserve after 0 miles of range?

When I started, I thought I had plenty of range, by the time I got off the freeway I was driving pretty conservatively. It was a pretty cold/windy night.
  2. Got down to zero range remaining. Is there a “buffer” reserve after 0 miles of range?

I’m sure someone else has already confirmed it, but I inadvertently drove my R1T down to zero range. I was coming back home from 40 miles away and I purportedly had 50 miles of range when I started. It was mostly freeway driving and I was doing about 72, but I was a little disappointed the...
  3. Efficiency and Range Numbers Don't Add Up

Well, it works. The Bronson is a great bike. That's a lot of travel. I ride a Ripley (and a titanium hardtail+ bike). Unfortunately my Ripley doesn't match my R1T. Oh well.
  4. Efficiency and Range Numbers Don't Add Up

Thanks. I'll watch that closer to see if I notice the same thing. Btw, awesome matching Santa Cruz. Is that a Hightower?
  5. Efficiency and Range Numbers Don't Add Up

Thanks. While this has been a colder winter than normal, my average temps are generally between 35-55 degrees lately. Not too extreme. Would that really account for 30-40% of my energy consumption? I'm curious as to why I'm never seeing 2.6 mi/kWh results (or anywhere near that) with my 21"...
  6. Efficiency and Range Numbers Don't Add Up

My driving doesn't involve any time sitting in traffic. Mostly driving 45mph rural roads. This was 2 trips of about 10 miles each. Even when I'm doing doing freeway trips, I'm not ever seeing 2.6 mi/kwh. Maybe 2.1 at max. Not sure why the truck would estimate that much range if my driving...
  7. Efficiency and Range Numbers Don't Add Up

Not sure if this is really an "issue" but the efficiency numbers for my R1T seem off. I'm in California, driving on 21" AS wheels/tires. Usually a pretty normal, slightly conservative driving style. I drive mostly rural roads and freeway (not a lot of stop lights or stop n go block by block...
  8. Kuat NV 2.0 Base Hitch Bike Rack Feels Tailor Made for the R1S

I’m not a huge fan of the 1up Integrated locking system, so I prefer to use a burly cable instead. A couple of my buddies have the Kuat and it’s a great rack, but we do have to play Tetris or adjust the trays more when we’re loading 4 bikes. The 1up system allows you to move the bikes forward...
  9. Kuat NV 2.0 Base Hitch Bike Rack Feels Tailor Made for the R1S

Yep, it’s bulletproof. And way easier to load 4 bikes on a 1up than any other rack system. I hate having to mess with tray height adjustments on the Kuats.
  10. Kuat NV 2.0 Base Hitch Bike Rack Feels Tailor Made for the R1S

Kuat makes a great rack. Although the 1Up USA rack is still my favorite. So fast, easy and solid, and no need to adjust tray heights to accommodate awkward fitting bikes… although the integrated lock is kinda janky.
  11. Music and phone control location on main screen.

Is there a way to change the location of the music/phone control pop-up window? It's all the way to the right of the main screen which means I have to reach way across while driving. Any way to move that over to the right side? My apologies if this has already been discussed, but I couldn't...
  12. Nevada 21" road tire + wheel set (4)

I'd be interested in 1 if you're willing to split them up and sell them for spares.
  13. R1T Newby Efficiency Question

Thanks. Is there a fix? Reading some of the other efficiency discussions on here (relating to tires), there are a lot of people getting 2.3+ efficiency. I'm running 21" road tires and I'm not a lead foot. Isn't 1.68 mi/kWh really low?
  14. R1T Newby Efficiency Question

My Trip data is saying that I’m getting efficiency of 1.68 mi/kWh for the trip but total miles were 612 and total energy was 225.3 kWh. If I divide those numbers, I’m getting 2.71 mi/kWh. What am I missing?
  15. Bed Cargo Bars Bike Rack?

IMO 1up is as premium as you can get for functional bike racks. They may not look as mass-produced, but that rack is synonymous with quality. On the functional side, people who haven’t owned them may not be aware of the ability to easily position bikes forward or back so that handlebars and...
