  1. Driving like a boat - air suspension at fault?

Just realized it’s 26 already! 🤔 if it’s by design I’m all good with it. I do remember however when I tried off-road mode it struggled to get to high position. It even show warning that suspension was overheating and asked me to try it later.
  2. Driving like a boat - air suspension at fault?

🤣🤣 it just popped up in my mind at that moment! I still love it.
  3. Driving like a boat - air suspension at fault?

I usually use auto setting and on highway it’s on Low.
  4. Driving like a boat - air suspension at fault?

Today I drove over 6 hours in my 2016 R1S dual max mostly on highway. At one point I was trying to avoid a tractor trailer suddenly merging in front of me, i swirled forcefully into outside lane. At that instant R1S swayed like a big boat becoming kind of unstable. It felt so clumsy. Funny thing...
  5. RIVIAN ASSISTANT SOFTWARE UPDA

Rivian needs to make a standalone app for Amazon Music. It was a strange way to use a music streaming service with voice command alone to begin with.
  6. RIVIAN ASSISTANT SOFTWARE UPDA

Let’s try to list what’s improved because of RA. 1. “Open garage door” I had issues using popup button on screen before because when I wanted to use it, it didn’t show on screen yet. But if I started to turn into my short driveway the steering wheel usually hide button so I can’t use. I had to...
  7. Frequent charging resume and stop after reaching % target

If it is considered acceptable behavior of Rivian in general, a software option like “Do not auto resume after charging is completed” might useful to reduce wear and tear on both onboard converter and external EVSE.
  8. Frequent charging resume and stop after reaching % target

Just to provide some more information as context when this happened. *Gear Guard is off *Home proximity is lock only so PAAK not an issue. *Climate is off *Average 24 hr battery usage is around 2.3 kWh as reported by Rivian app It seems a slightly more self draining might be the cause? BTW my...
  9. Frequent charging resume and stop after reaching % target

My R1S gen2 max pack is charged with Grizzl-E mini at home. I noticed there are frequent resume and stop cycle after schedule charging session is completed. It’s about 1 to 2 times an hour. The schedule is set on Rivian and amperage 40A. Which device could be at fault, car or charger? Now I am...
  10. Love my R1S, but frustrated by a "Principle of the Matter" Service Issue (Stuck Charging Cable)

I do understand OP’s reaction. Remember how excited I was taking delivery 6 months ago but then little things started to creep up and kept on coming. 1) car drives straight but steering wheel is cricked. And it could use bit more self centering. 2) Doors/hood/back door whether using...
  11. Dolby Atmos delayed start on Apple Music

    Yes but maybe more like this G1 Meridian —————> G2 Premium > G1 non-Meridian > G2 Standard
  12. Single Pedal Driving - Why Not an ICE Feature?

Correct. What I try to point out is that EV 1-pedal using electric motor’s inverter behavior is so strong that it can quickly slow vehicle down to standstill which replaces most braking needs in city driving. ICE car’s intelligent gear shifting can’t do this without involving brakes. It might...
  13. Dolby Atmos delayed start on Apple Music

I have a feeling that Gen1 has better sound than Gen2. My 2026 R1S with premium audio sounds so terrible that it can’t be fixed simply by Equalizer, 3D sound, Atmos or other tweaks. It needs a totally hardware overhaul and recalibration to cabin spaces. Yesterday I was at NY auto show and sat...
  14. Single Pedal Driving - Why Not an ICE Feature?

I think for EV 1-pedal driving utilizes electric motor’s reverse drag to slow down motion and charging battery simultaneously (to kill two birds with one stone, so to speak). At this point motor behaves much like electric generator. It does not make sense for ICE vehicles.
  15. Single Pedal Driving - Why Not an ICE Feature?

Engine braking does not provide enough drag for 1-pedal driving design unless involving real brakes, which makes it more inefficient. On EV side, regen only improves efficiency if it normally requires braking anyways. Otherwise coasting is more efficient. That’s why EV is more efficient in city...
  16. Please Help, My R1S is Bleeding Kilowatts

I remember there’s a way in your car to re-define home location. Also if you take a ride around corner and then go back to your usual home parking spot, it will correct itself sometimes. But what a hassle!
  17. New Clifton Park Service Center now shows on Google Maps

It seems booked solid from app. Do you have to call to make appointment?
  18. Donut Lab’s ‘miracle’ solid-state battery confirms 0-80% charge in 4.5 min — but there’s a catch

You only see pretty graphics and two faces talking in video. A lengthy real time shot while battery is being charged at 5C or 11C is needed.
  19. GEN 1 R1T Home Charging Frustrations

Great discussions! Always learn something. Thanks everyone!
  20. GEN 1 R1T Home Charging Frustrations

207V seems low. I might not be correct but when I charge using Grizzle mini 40A charger the average voltage is 236V and get bit above 9kw. Your 207V x 48A= 9.9kw with some loss it should be around 9.6kw. Maybe you take a voltage test when EVIQO is charging to see what voltage is pulls.
