Last two days seen a few Rivian's out and about. Was following a LG R1T down the 5 this morning in my LG R1T. Different one from the LG one I saw in a parking lot yesterday. Is Rivian common now?
Yeah no reason others couldn't come by. Happy to show off my R1T, the good and bad. Just tracking the R1Ts coming by so we get an idea of how many might be represented.
Let's make this first one easy and choose Griffith Park. As people have mentioned, Venice Hub is too hard to park at for everyone and Griffith offers a ton of perks. We're probably not going to have a ton of trucks at the first one, but never know how SoCal Deliveries will be in another month...
What's the reset suppose to do? Has that worked for people with this same issue? I've installed a software update previously. Didn't the truck get reset then? I've had since issue since day 1
Phone has a key doesn't work for me so I only use the Key Fob for everything. I don't keep the key cards on me. About a quarter of the time I unlock the truck, get in, foot on brake, and the vehicle ask me to present the key. It shows the graphic of putting the key card near the door and it...
Pasadena or Fullerton area is ok for me. I'm in Hollywood mostly but on weekends I could drive any direction. Post some location ideas and do the poll above. We can do a second poll for location after we pick a date.
You got a month :p
There's a few dozen of us in SoCal now. Ya'll want to plan the first meetup? I'd be curious to compare notes with other R1T owners and see how things work on your vs mine. Guessing might be only 2 or 3 of us at the first one but we could get something started. With so few Rivian's out there we...
Attendants drive the car to the machine, put it in neutral, and get out. No one usually rides in the car through the wash tunnel. I posted a method they can use above ^^ but its not intuitive how its done. The normal Neutral setting won't work in this carwash case like it does for most vehicles.
No idea and no way to lock the height setting. It adjusts on its own while driving. On the highway that wouldn't be so bad, but then it drops down while sitting still at lights too. Sometimes it just raises up when I park but not consistently. I suppose it tries to lower itself for efficiency...
Went outside to play and learn, here's what I found:
This is how you can put the truck in neutral and walk away. For 15 minutes at least. This should work at automatic carwashes.
Settings -> Vehicle -> Service -> (foot on brake) Parking Brake Release: ON
Hey what timing! I took my R1T to the car wash today too. What a nerve racking experience for a whole lot of reasons. The head attendant guy at my place said I was the first one they've seen. He took care of moving the truck. I didn't even think of the neutral thing but when I looked back at the...
This has been bugging me since day one. Noticed it right away on delivery day but I've yet to find another R1T to see if it's just me or how they all are.
Is my rear window shelf plastic warped or is the part just super cheapness and this is how they all are?
Took the R1T for it's first car wash today and drew a bit of a crowd. Everyone loves the Launch Green and I had to regrettably say it wasn't available to order anymore. Spent an extra 20 mins showing the staff all the doors and openings. Carwash mode was a hit and it seemed to work. But one...
The fornt plate bracket screws into the center plastic part of the bumper cover. In theory you could just swap out that center peice later on to cover the holes. You shouldn't need a whole new cover. I can't tell how that center peice is connected to the cover. It's secure though and doesn't...
The front plate bracket didn't come with any screws so I'm going to ask for some when the truck has a service. I normally do run the front plate but it's not installed yet. Not excited about drilling holes in the bumper. Wish Rivian had a better front plate solution.
