This is not a new thing. It started two years ago when Gen 2 first started shipping. For example: https://rivianforums.com/forum/threads/2024-27-1-and-2024-27-30-update-are-rolling-out-for-gen1-and-gen2.31576/
The first reference to this pattern that I found was the 2024.23 release in July 2024...
You know, this has been the consistent position from Rivian for so long that I'm surprised there is anyone alive who thinks otherwise. Certainly not news ...
Looks like maybe your vehicle isn't going to sleep. Check all the usual suspects - seat belt left buckled, package left on front seat, door ajar, etc. Do a hard reset t, leave it unplugged and stay away for an hour so it doesn't proximity unlock, then try charging again.
I don't know what the rules are where you live, but I believe as an external outlet that would usually require GFCI and also probably a cover of some sort.
You need to replace that outlet now, before you use it again, and check the circuit to make sure the correct size wiring is used.
It's unlikely to be a problem with the mobile charger - if the mobile charger failed and was drawing too much power the breaker would trip (and check the breaker too...
I would book a service appointment. Upload your video. Have you ever had any of the customer satisfaction campaign items done, like the ting washers? If not I would just schedule a comprehensive inspection, which is like $300, and have them look at everything so it can all be fixed under warranty.
Just a friendly piece of advice, your experience could lead you astray when you're not driving a Tesla, because only about 2/3 of the Tesla superchargers are NACS and available to non-Teslas.
Assuming you can use those same chargers you've always relied on can leave you in a pickle...
New vehicles come with the front license plate holder (check in the frunk, might still be in there), which is installed before delivery by the service center if you want it (there is a question asking this when you do the online purchase process).
If you don't want to drill, you could buy a...
The fact that you didn't even admit you were wrong is telling - that's really the only way you could have replied if you had any shred of intellectual honesty. Instead you had to go defend your statement and accuse me of cherry-picking the "one exception" to your "truth".
This thread is about...
What the fuck are you talking about?
The Irvine RAN is $0.34-$0.49/kWh
The closest Tesla charger is 1.9 miles away by road and charges $0.74/kWh
Which, to be clear, means the Tesla charger is 50%-100% MORE THAN THE RAN CHARGER.
I suppose now you're going to tell me the sky is yellow and apples...
That doesn't answer my question. Are you using an adapter? Are they all Tesla wall chargers? When were they installed? Have you tightened the screws since then? There are a hundred things that could cause problems other than the vehicle, even if those chargers work on a different car.
"The Reacher" - Tesla's solution for those people who received a LHD vehicle in a RHD country.

It's so weird to hear people say they don't use the frunk on the R1, because it's such a large and useful space.
When I first got my R1, I had never owned a car with a frunk before, so I kept forgetting about it. Same with the gear tunnel - I kept throwing stuff in the back seat or the bed...
