You can get the 50-30A conversion cables at Walmart or any RV parts store if you’re in a pinch.
Something you may want to consider is a portable power surge protector like a Hughes Watchdog.
RV parks are notorious for not providing clean power. I use one on our RV and many years ago, it...
My R1S tri under heavy acceleration cannot maintain a straight line.
Both in standard and sport mode. I think this has to do with the rear squatting and front lifting which is changing the geometry of the front suspension.
Go do it. Post a video from inside of how long it takes to pull the panel, find the cord, and exit the vehicle.
Now do it in the front seat.
My goal is to get Rivian owners to complain to the company so they will take this matter seriously.
I’ve already filed a formal complaint with NHTSA.
This is literally what our service center told us. The service advisor, and the delivery team all confirmed this is the way to exit in an emergency.
Don’t blame me for repeating what has been communicated.
I’m 100% with you here. Especially when the only method to exit is to destructively access the emergency pull. Which no one but an adult male is going to be able to do.
Imagine your toddler, young child, or grandparent trying to get out of a burning EV under extreme stress.
This is a huge miss...
you don’t.
Escape is through the front doors. Service explained this to me after I noted there was no rear interior door handles.
Another item I wish I knew before buying the R1S.
With all I know now about owning a Rivian, I would not trade for the TriMax.

Also, the dual has far less torque steer over the tri.
New issue which I’m logging data and opening a new service request.
Noticed this a few days after getting the S back from service. Probably a coincidence as I don’t think service caused it.
A few days ago after shopping at Costco, I went to open the back and pushed the button under the back...
Just remember, CARB also mandated previously only OEM parts were approved for any emissions replacement.
Then SEMA sued the state and won. Now you have the right to select aftermarket parts.
So no, I don’t agree the government gets to mandate things.
The removal of LEAD from fuel was another top contributor of removing harmful emissions from our air.
Asian, economic impact was minimal to the consumer.
Are you pretending CO2 isn’t a byproduct of 7B humans?
Approximately 1.7 gigatons per year from human breath.

There’s a huge difference between 2kW AC for a few hours a day v 7-9kW for 12 hours straight.
Also, most of our electricity comes from natural gas or coal. So you’re just shifting the emissions to another source.
Let us know when you get caught with a Montana plate in CA.
The state is watching everyone doing this and will eventually catch those who are avoiding paying their taxes.
