Just had them installed. My OEM 22” only lasted 20k. I can tell after driving back home that road noise was less noticeable than my OEMs, and the ride comfort actually feels more improved. I know these are 4-5lbs heavier so I know the range efficiency should take a marginal hit.
Just ordered these Pirellis Scorpion XTM A/T since I called my Costco, America's Tires, and several boutique tire stores and none would install any 115XL tires (I was gonna do the Bridgestone Dueler Ascent A/T) on my R1S because the placard indicates HL. So the Pirelli 116HL checks those...
Just to bump this thread back up. The initial visit, they replaced the hub bearings which significantly reduced the clicking sound in which it now randomly would just click once or twice on a slow turned reversal.
Now back at the shop for multipoint, they looked at it again and this time...
The tech did mention this to me prior to replacing my subframe and is a common occurance on ANY car not just Rivian (he was coming from BMW and said it affects BMWs too). But I don't know how true that is because the loaner I'm driving now doesn't have it and it's much older than my vehicle...
Well, just got another update today, they changed out the hub bearings AGAIN and the sound has substantially gone down but still there. They have their "engineering" team looking into it more now. They want to make sure it is to my expectations. I did relay your suggestion to them to see too.
Here was the video on the click sound before I had the hub bearings changed out and it fixed it dramatically. ( (70) Checking if this click sound is normal with a turned steering wheel at slow speed | Rivian Forum - R1T R1S R2 R3 News, Specs, Models, RIVN Stock -- Rivianforums.com ) But now, an...
Just an update, they replaced my "gen 2" subframe w/another "gen 2" subframe and it still did not fix the "clicking" noise. It is still randomly heard. Hub bearings were changed out the previous service. What else would they change out now?
So looks like I'll be doing the subframe replacement according to the service center. I had the hub bearing replaced initially, but that "click" sound still remains that still comes out randomly at slow turned reversal speeds. They were going to just add lubrication but I was surprised they...
Still the worst seat back protectors. I have them as well. The velcro it comes with does not stick at all. I don't like how it overlaps the trunk mat too.
This corridor in Fremont right next to HWY 680 before the SUNOL GRADE would be so ideal since there's really no RAN in the South SF Bay Area. There's a Mcdonalds and even a Shell station right next to the freeway entrance.
Just curious if anyone of you would consider 285/55/22 size or 285/50/22 size just for a "bit more" comfort? I'm researching if these sizes would fit w/o rubbing. I've only found that on KNEEL mode it will rub which I'm currently confused if it's the same as SPORT mode on it's LOWEST setting...
I was looking at the specs of the compact spare vs. modern spare. It says the diameter is 30 vs. 32.9 (I have the 22" so this would be the modernspare version I would need). I don't quite understand if that means when the tire are fully inflated or inflated?! I guess it fits snug even if its a...
2022-2024 Rivian R1T Full Size Spare Tire. Alloy, Compact | Modern Spare Checking to see if this fits in our spare tire area. I'm headed on a road trip and would like to keep a compact spare vs. full size.
I prefer not to disclose the price just the fact I know overpaid due to it being "SF BAY AREA PRICING". I didn't want to do it myself, or shop around for a better deal. "SO CAL PRICING" is much cheaper but then again, there's alot more competition down there.
The gorilla tape I opted in for...
After waiting 3-4 months, I finally got it on at this SF Bay Area Shop! They still have some R1T running boards available, the caveat is that you have to let them install it. Again, running boards only...no sliders. Shop is called ZEVCENTRIC in Fremont. Contact them! Let them know Quincy...
